Harry had been in the hospital wing for a while now. Maybe a week? All of us made sure to visit him everyday but I was there more than the others. Every morning and every night, just to make sure he was doing well. Madame Pomfrey kept me in the hospital wing for a couple of hours after the incident but left me go after determining there was nothing wrong with me. She didn't believe me when I told her that a million times beforehand though. Before I even had a chance to explain myself to the twins, the entire school knew. They didn't know everything but they knew the basics. I wasn't sure how though. When I walked into the common room, after Madame Pomfrey let me go, I was welcomed with curious stares and worried hugs. Angie, Fred and George were all there. Hermione was there and Ron was still in the hospital wing. He was doing fine. Just a small concussion. Fred and George were the first ones to hug me, though I could tell George was slightly angry with me. Maybe it was for not telling him what I was doing. Or maybe it was because I almost died. Either choice made sense. George yelled at me a little but then he was back to hugging me. I was just glad I had friends as worried as they were. Angie was just as worried about me as they were but she was less panicked. Like I said, she has this magical skill of always staying calm. I envy that skill.
After Angie, I checked in on Hermione. She clearly hasn't slept the night before but I ensured her both boys would be perfectly fine. And that Quirrell was dead. He wouldn't be coming back. Though I wasn't as sure that you-know-who would stay dead. Not that I told her that. She didn't need to worry about that. None of us should've had to worry about that.
Harry woke up by the end of the week. Ron had left him plenty of treats for when he woke up (I definitely contributed to the pile). Dumbledore has also assured us that the stone had been destroyed. Nicholas Flamel agreed to its destruction, despite the fact that he would die from it being destroyed. I wasn't there when Harry woke up, but the three of us were there when Harry finally was released from the hospital wing. We were sitting on the common room stairs talking. I was the first one to see Harry. I nudged the others and they stopped talking, leaning over the railing. "All right there, Ron?" Harry asks.
"All right? You?" I smiled at Harry.
"Alright. Hermione?" Hermione smiled down at Harry.
"Never better." Harry looked at me and smiled.
"Mirabella?"
"I'm better now." We all smiled, staring at each other. I looked over Harry's face and I couldn't shake off this feeling that there was more to our story. I wasn't sure why I was at his house or how my mother knew his mother. But I am determined to find out. Until then, Harry is like the brother I never had but always wanted.

I sat next to the twins in the Great Hall. It was the evening before we went back home. Before I left for the orphanage. I wasn't entirely excited about that but I was packed and ready to go. Green banners surrounded the Great Hall. Slytherin had won the House cup. Dumbledore, at the head table, nods to McGonagall and she dings her glass and the chatter stops. Dumbledore rises. The twins and I turn to pay attention. They really only paid attention when Dumbledore was speaking. "Another year gone. And now, as I understand it, the house cup needs awarding, and the points stand thus. In fourth place, Gryffindor with 302 points." There's a small applause from the Gryffindor table but nothing else. "Third place, Hufflepuff, with 352 points." There's more clapping, probably because Hufflepuffs don't care if they win or lose. "In second place, Ravenclaw, with 426 points. And in first place, with 472 points, Slytherin House." There is immense cheering, none of it coming from the Gryffindor table. "Yes, yes, well done Slytherin, well done Slytherin. However, recent events must be taken into account. And I have a few last minute points to award." The Gryffindor students look up and I share a strange look with the twins. "To Miss Hermione Granger, for the use of cool intellect when others were in great peril, 40 points." We all clap, and I cheer for Hermione. "Second, to Mr. Ronald Weasley, for the best played game of chess that Hogwarts has seen these many years... 40 points." The twins and I cheer loudly, making Slytherin glare at us. And third, to Mr. Harry Potter, for pure nerve and outstanding courage, I award Gryffindor house 50 points." Everyone in the hall cheers (except Slytherin). "To Ms Mirabella Black, for her willingness to sacrifice her life to save someone else, I award Gryffindor 40 points." The twins stand up and cheer loudly, both of them kissing my cheeks. I laughed as I blushed widely. Harry looked over at me and sent me a smile. I smiled back.
At this point, we were tied with Slytherin for the house cup. It was silent in the Great Hall as Dumbledore silenced us again. We looked up at him, waiting to see what happened next. "And finally, it takes a great deal of bravery to stand up to your enemies, but a great deal more to stand up to your friends. I award 10 points to Neville Longbottom." We all smiled, applauding Neville as his cheeks grew red. "Assuming that my calculations are correct, I believe that a change of direction is in order." Dumbledore claps and the green banners change to Gryffindor red and yellow. "Gryffindor wins the House Cup!" We all cheered and the twins got up and danced, making me smile widely. All students stand and throw their hats into the air, except Draco, who smashes his down onto the table. Lee was just as ecstatic as he went up to Harry jumping with him. Harry looked over at me and smiled. I sent him a thumbs up as the twins dragged me into their dance. We won. Gryffindor won.
