As the twins and I sat down at the Gryffindor table in the Great Hall, I couldn't help but look around for Harry and Ron. They seemed to be the only two missing. Fred and George didn't seem too worried but that was before Lee leaned over and tossed a newspaper in front of us. "Is it true? Ron and Harry flew a car to Hogwarts?" My eyes went wide as George and I leaned over to read the newspaper. On the front page, there was the car flying into the sky. 7 people had witnessed this. Scratch that. 7 muggles had seen the car flying.
Soon everyone was talking about how Harry and Ron drove a flying car to Hogwarts. Most of Gryffindor waited up in the common room, waiting for Ron and Harry to walk in. When they did, the whole common room erupted into cheers. The twins pat the boys on their backs. Walking up to the two of them, I engulfed them in a hug, shaking my head. "I was worried. I'm glad you two are ok." What I didn't happen to mention was how damn proud I was of the two of them.

The next day we started classes, much to the twins disliking. I was just lucky that the twins, Angie and I all had the same classes this year. When we walked into transfiguration, McGonagall stood at the head of class, papers in her hand. It was the first day of class and we already had a quiz. I looked at the twins and groaned. "Good morning Professor." I smiled at her and she nodded. When the rest of the class filed in, taking their seats, McGonangall passed out the quizzes. It was everything we remembered about last year. Or at least, what we were supposed to remember. McGonagall sat silently at her desk scribbling away on a single page of parchment much like the rest of the class. The classroom was eerily quiet. I hated the quiet. The teacher's glasses were perched low on her nose as she continued to write out the lesson plan for the following week. My leg bounced up and down as I studied the questions on the quiz. A hand rested on my thigh and I stopped bouncing. Looking over, I saw George giving me a small smile as he stared down at his paper. I sighed, my cheeks blushing madly as I tried to focus on the quiz.
I marked down some of the last answers on the quiz, laying my quill down. I looked over subtly, trying to see how close Fred and George were to finishing. I looked around the classroom. I wasn't the first finished but I was still close to the top. Biting my lip, I pushed a hair away from my face as I stood up. George's hand fell as he looked back at his paper. I walked up to McGonagall's table and sat my quiz face down on her desk. The teacher gave me a pleasant smile, seeming highly impressed with my work, as she always was, and dismissed me from class for the rest of the day seeing as the quiz was the only thing needing to be done for Transfiguration. I walked back to my desk and both the twins looked up at me as I picked up my bag. "Ill wait for you." I whispered as I walked out.
I waited for a few minutes, the twins coming out a little while later. I was sure they guessed on most of the quiz. "How do you feel about the quiz?" I asked them, looking up at both boys.
"Well..." I laughed, hearing enough. They did badly.
"I always thought we should have aced these classes because we exceed expectations by even showing up. I look over at George and laugh, shaking my head.
"Yes you do."

After a couple more classes, the twins and I went to Great Hall to study. I was never really sure why we had a break, but I guess it was because we needed a break after so many classes in a certain amount of time period. I was studying when I heard Dean Thomas, one of the second years with Harry, say, "Ron? Is that your owl?" We all look up as Errol comes flying through the great hall, crashing into the table. Ron looks over his bird, mumbling something.
Another boy in Harry's class looks up from his food, glancing at the owl. "Look, everyone! Weasley's got himself a Howler!" I look over at the twins, both of them snickering under their breath as we watch what is about to happen. Lord knows the twins have gotten more Howlers in their time at Hogwarts than any other student here.
"Go on, Ron. I ignored one from my gran once. It was horrible." Nervously, a pale Ron opens the letter and we hear Mrs Weasley's voice boom, echoing in the Great Hall for everyone to hear.
"RONALD WEASLEY! HOW DARE YOU STEAL THAT CAR! I AM ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTED! YOUR FATHER'S NOW FACING AN INQUIRY AT WORK, AND IT'S ENTIRELY YOUR FAULT! IF YOU PUT ANOTHER TOE OUT OF LINE, WE'LL BRING YOU STRAIGHT HOME!" Suddenly the howler seems to calm down as it turns to Ginny. "Oh, and Ginny, dear, congratulations on making Gryffindor. Your father and I are so proud!" Ginny turns red as everyone in the hall turns to look at her. Then the howler tore itself up and all eyes were back on Ron. A first year snaps a few photos as I send Ron a sympathetic look, while his brothers roar in laughter with everyone else in the hall.

Every girl in that classroom was hanging onto his every word. I just wanted to bang my head on the desk. What did Gildory Lockhart know about Defense Against the Dark Arts. I looked back at Fred and George and they shared the same expression as me. He was talking nonsense. From what I had heard from Harry, Lockhart was teaching all of his classes about the same thing - Cornish pixies. His methods were rash. He actually had live pixies in a cage somewhere and he was using them to "teach" us how to slow them down. Or slow down time or something. Like I said, I wasn't paying attention. As soon as class ended, I looked at the boys. "There's no way I'm doing a whole year of this." They left the classroom confused as I walked up to Professor Lockhart. "Professor Lockhart." I smiled, batting my eyelashes at him. "Wow you're so much better looking in person." I sigh, biting my lip. "I was really hoping that Fred, George and I could maybe leave a couple of your classes early. It's just..." I started to cry as I hid my face in his shoulder. "We are being put under a lot of pressure from Snape and I would really like to just get all my work done from him as soon as possible." Professor Lockhart puts his hand on my shoulder and I give him a small smile, wiping my fake tears away.
"Of course dear. I understand completely. Professor Snape does tend to rub people the wrong way." I nod and give him a hug.
"Thank you so much." I give him a thankful look and then turn around, marching out the doors, a smirk plastered on my face. As soon as I walk out the door, I see the twins in front of me.
"What happened?" Georgie asked me.
"It was way too easy. I just had to butter him up. Now the three of us don't have to go to most of his classes for the rest of the year." Smiles break out on both of their faces as they hug me tightly. When Fred lets go, George picks me up and spins me around.
"I'm so happy I could kiss you." Suddenly, both of our faces fall and my eyes go wide as he puts me down. His hand goes to the back of his neck and my cheeks become red. I blushed a deep red as I bit my lip. I wanted to kiss him. I wanted to kiss him so bad but I would always just be his friend. I would forever be friend-zoned.
