I sat next to Ginny, the sword at my feet as I ran my hand through her hair. "Ginny..." I looked over her face, her skin warming up a little. She stirred underneath me and I smiled as I saw her eyes flutter open. "Ginny. Oh thank god."
"Mirabella?" She looked over, seeing Harry. "Harry. It was me- but I swear, I didn't mean to! Riddle made me, and..." Ginny looked back to me and her eyes went wide.
"Mirabella, you're hurt!" I gave her a small smile, shaking my head.
"It's ok. Harry, you need to take Ginny out. Get back to the castle." Both of them looked at me, shaking their heads. Suddenly, Fawkes comes flying down, sitting at my feets as he looks up at me with his head crooked to the side. "You were brilliant, Fawkes. I just got a little nicked." Thick pearly tears are trickling down Fawkes' face and onto my arm. Almost instantly, my wound... begins to heal itself. "What is happening?" I asked Harry, confused.
"Of course! Phoenix tears have healing powers." I looked back to Fawkes, smiling down at the bird.
"Thank you Fawkes." I stand up, helping up Ginny and Harry, taking both of them into my arms, hugging them tightly.
"It's alright, Ginny. It's over. It's just a memory." I hear Harry tell her and I smile. Just a memory. A really bad memory to add to my list of bad memories.
With Fawkes gliding gracefully ahead of us, we make our way back up to the top of the rocks, where the rock wall has now crumbled. Ron stands there, staring at Lockhart before he hears us, turning around. "Ginny!" Ron runs for us, embracing Ginny in a tight hug. "You're alive. I can't believe it." He gasps, pulling away.
"I'm going to be expelled, I just know it!" Ron looks back at us and I laugh a little.
"Remind you of anyone?" Harry and I both laugh, thinking of Hermione. I look over at Lockhart, seeing him sitting by himself, humming peacefully. "His Memory Charm backfired. Hasn't got a clue who he is. I keep having to stop him wandering off. He's a danger to himself." Ron tells me, noticing my long stare.
"Hello." Lockhart grins at us and I smile back, trying not to laugh. He got what he deserved. Harry looks upward. There is an opening, hundreds of feet up. Just then, Fawkes circles back, fluttering in front of Harry. And just like that, Fawkes flies us out of the chamber, back to the bathroom. Back to the castle and back to civilization. Back to where there are no giant snakes trying to kill us or memories coming to life. Back to a place where we feel safe.

The three of us stood in Dumbledore's office, heads down as we waited for punishment. Ginny was sent right to the hospital wing, and her family was notified immediately. Which meant they were already there, making sure their only daughter/sister was ok. "You all realize, of course, that in the past few hours you have broken perhaps a dozen school rules?" We nodded.
"Yes, sir." We said simultaneously.
"And there is sufficient evidence to have you both expelled." I sighed, nodding.
"Yes sir."
"Therefore, it is only fitting that you all receive Special Awards for Services to the School." The three of us look at smiling and confused as we look at Dumbledore.
"Thank you sir!" I smile at both the younger boys.
"And now, Mr. Weasley, if you would, have an owl deliver these release papers to Azkaban? I believe we- we want our gamekeeper back." I smiled at Ron as he walked out of Dumbledore's office. "And Ms Black, I believe there are a few people you'd like to see that are waiting for you." I smiled and nodded as I looked down at Harry, squeezing his arm.
"See you later Harry." He gave me a small smile as I left the office, racing towards the hospital wing. When I entered, I saw a clutter of gingers, sitting by a sleeping Ginny in her hospital bed. I saw Hermione from the corner of my eye, still petrified. "How is she?" I asked from the doorway, all Weasley heads turning to look at me. George caught my eyes and he smiled widely at me. I hadn't talked to him much since that night. Not that I've had the time, helping Harry and all. But I knew I was falling quickly. I looked away, looking back at Ginny. Mrs Weasley smiled at me and waved me over to her.
"Hello dear. Ginny is doing fine. She's sleeping now." I smiled down at the girl. Her face was finally back to its normal colour. And when I put my hand to her forehead, she was warm again. "Dumbledore told us what you did." I smiled at Mrs Weasley, shaking my head.
"Harry did most of the saving. And Ron, we wouldn't have been able to save her without Ron's help." Mrs Weasley gave me a look and I nodded. Just take the compliment Mirabella. I smiled and she gave me a tight hug.
"I would do anything for your family Mrs Weasley. After everything you've done for me, it's the least I could do."
I stepped out of the hospital wing, and was going to make my way to the common room, when I saw Lucius and with him was his house elf, Dobby. Dobby was the only other thing to try and make me comfortable at the Malfoy manor. "Lucius, what are you doing here?" I ask him as I walk towards him, my arms crossed.
"Leaving." He muttered as he kicked Dobby forward. I heard the painful cry come from Dobby as he walked a little faster, giving me a look.
"You really shouldn't treat him like that." I told Lucius, though I knew deep down that it would do no good. Before Lucius had a chance to say anything, Harry came running from Dumbledore's office, carrying the diary in his hand. He came to a stop when he saw Lucius merely feet in front of him.
"Mr Malfoy! I have something of yours." Harry comes up running, thrusting the diary into Malfoy's hand. My eyebrows furrow as I look back at Harry, confused.
"Mine? I don't know what you're talking about." Lucius says to Harry, refusing to look down at the diary.
"I think you do, sir. I think you slipped it into Ginny Weasley's cauldron that day in Diagon Alley." Lucius shoves the diary into Dobby's face and I look back at Lucius.
"You do, do you?" Lucius then leans close to Harry and, with a nasty grin, whispers, "Why don't you prove it!" He turns away, looking down at Dobby with the same evil grin. He glares at me as I smirk. "Come Dobby." Lucius growls as he starts to walk away. As Dobby looks sadly back, clutching the diary in his hand, I see Harry mouths the words: Open it. Dobby looks down curiously. Inside the diary is a sock. I smile widely as I look back at Harry. "Dobby!" Lucius stops and turns around, glaring at the elf.
"Master has given Dobby a sock." Lucius turns around, scoffing at the elf.
"What? I didn't..." He stops when he sees the sock in Dobby's hand.
"Master has presented Dobby with clothes. Dobby is... free!" All of us look to Harry as he raises his pant leg, showing he isn't wearing a sock. I smirk as I look back at Lucius, watching the anger rise on his face. Instantly, Lucius charges forth.
"You've lost me my servant!" Lucius takes out his wand, pointing it at Harry.
"You shall not harm Harry Potter!" Dobby steps between Harry and Lucius just as Lucius starts to say the killing curse. Dobby uses magic, throwing Lucius a few feet back, landing in a crumpled heap. Dobby smirks, feeling proud as he looks at me. I smile widely at the elf. Lucius looks back at Harry as he rises.
"Your parents were meddlesome fools, too. You mark my words, Potter, one day soon you are going to meet the same sticky end!" With that Lucius stalks off, mumbling words underneath his breath.
"Harry Potter freed Dobby! How can Dobby ever repay him?" I shake my head, smiling down at Dobby.
"Just promise me something." Harry says, smiling down at Dobby as well.
"Anything, sir."
"Never try to save my life again." Dobby grins, nodding. Then with a snap of his fingers, he disappears. I look back at Harry and shake my head.
"You are brilliant Harry. Absolutely brilliant."
