The twins and I were sitting in the library. I was doing last minute homework and studying. They were supposed to be studying as well but naturally they were not. Christmas was coming up soon and unlike all the others at this school, I was staying at Hogwarts for the holidays. I never wanted to go back home for the holidays. What's the point of going back to the orphanage? Usually the twins go back home for Christmas. Bill and Charlie are always there too. But this year, Mr and Mrs Weasley, along with Ginny, are visiting Charlie. So the twins and Ron are staying here this year. With me.

So like I said, I was studying and the boys were doing anything but studying. They were whispering next to me as I ran a hand through my hair. "Are you two going to talk the whole time?" I ask, looking at them over my shoulder. The two boys stopped talking, looking at me before looking back at each other.

"It's almost Christmas Mira. Why are you studying anyway?" I raised my eyebrows at Fred and he raised his hands up in submission. The boys went back to talking and I looked down at my parchment. I was almost done. Then we could do something else. Anything else.

"Ok finally, I'm done." I shut my books, looking back towards the boys. "What do you want to do?"

"You're telling me that you haven't done your Christmas shopping yet..." I smiled, looking back at the twins. Both of them shook their heads. "You know Christmas is less than 2 weeks away, right?" They winked at me and I shook my head.

"We only need gifts for a few more people." I sighed and let them wrap their arms through mine as we walked through Hogsmeade. Since we were third years, we were allowed to go to Hogsmeade whenever we liked. The boys would only ask for my opinion every once in a while, which was how I knew they had my present on their list. They weren't exactly sneaky. But I played along anyways, letting them do whatever they felt the need to do to surprise me. I loved them. They were my family.

Christmas Eve night, after we had finished dinner, Fred, George and I were walking around outside the grounds. We were talking, laughing, everything that we usually do. There was snow on the ground already but we paid no attention to it. I shuffled my feet in the snow, every once in a while it came up hitting George in the back of the leg. It was an accident. At least the first couple of times. I tried to hide my laugh every time I did it, sometimes covering up my laugh with a cough. I didn't even know why I was laughing. It wasn't that funny. I kicked up more snow this time, hitting almost all of the back of George's legs. I couldn't contain my burst of giggles as I watched George turn around, playfully glaring at me. "You wanna do that again?" He smirked. My eyes went wide as I looked at Fred for support. But he just shook his head. Both of the boys smiled evilly at me as they scooped up snow in their hands.

"No... guys come on." My hands were close to my face, ready to block any attack. They laughed as they threw the balls of snow, both of them hitting me. I laugh, bending down to grab snow in my hands. "You're going down Weasleys." Both of them laugh, backing up. This was about to get interesting.

I picked up the snow, trying to make it into a ball shape as much as possible. I threw it in the direction of Fred, since he was the one who betrayed me. George and I both laughed as it hit his back. None of us were wearing snow gear or very warm clothes, so it was a lot colder when the snow hit us.

A full on snowball war had started as all three of us turned on each other. Each of our inner-children were awoken each time we threw a snowball. We were technically still children - I mean, we were only 13. But for a moment, I forgot about the orphanage. I forgot about my parents. I forgot about that three headed dog and all of the conspiracies surrounding it. All of my troubles - gone.
