As the sun began to set behind the city skyline, Trinity locked up her small office at the hospital and let out a tired sigh. It had been a chaotic day, packed with back-to-back appointments and emergency cases. But now, as she stepped out onto the noisy streets of Chicago, she was more than ready to ditch her scrubs and enjoy a long, relaxing shower.
Pulling out her phone, she scrolled through her messages as she walked to her car, a smile spreading across her lips as she saw the group chat blowing up.
Soraya and Diamond had been planning a girl's night out for weeks, but the plans never made it out of the group chat because Trinity was always working or sneaking to be with Von, or Zuri was tied up with her own issues. So It took a while, but tonight was finally the night.
When Tink arrived home, the house was quiet—like usual. Meech was of course working late at the university, which didn't bother Trinity at all actually. She had a moment and the house to herself, without having to be questioned where she was going.
Taking off her shoes, hanging up her work purse, and heading upstairs—eager to change and shower, Trinity's phone began to ring with a call from the group chat. It was still early, so the girls had plenty of time to get ready, which was great because they all planned to show out tonight since it had been a while they had gotten together and looked like the baddies they were.
"Hey, y'allll" Trinity's face appeared on the camera, followed by Soraya, Diamond, and Zuri.
"Y'all ready to turn the fuck up or what?" Soraya's voice rang out, causing laughter to erupt as they all dragged out the word "hell yeah"
"Chile, I'm getting ready right now, because lord knows I take so damn long to do my makeup" Diamond shook her head, setting her phone up on the bed, showcasing herself in her robe and her hair wrapped up—most likely already done.
"No, literally. That's why I'm finna hop in the shower right now" Trinity replied next.
"Y'all ain't never lied. Who gon' be up there first though? 'Cause y'all know I ain't got no car; that shit in the shop right now, so somebody gotta pick me up" Zuri then explained, laughter bubbling up afterward.
"I ain't even driving up there. I'm getting fucked up tonight, so I'm taking an Uber. There and back," Trinity told her. "Just in case, 'cause y'all know how I get when I'm drunk"
"Oh my God, I'll pick you up, damn. Always something wrong with this bitch car" Soraya rolled her eyes, obviously playing, which made everybody laugh again because it was true.
"Girl, boo, fuck you, Raya" Zuri exclaimed, playfully jerking her neck back and waving her hand. Soraya responded by flipping her off though the camera.
"Look, all I know is that nobody fucking with us tonight. I'm finna wear some booty shorts and all like it's summer; that cold ass weather ain't stopping shit"
