Later that same day, after a rushed journey home, Tink finally arrived home to be with her man. They were now laid up together in bed, the soft glow from the bedside lamp casting warm, comforting shadows on the walls. She was literally babying him, holding him close as he lay with his head resting on her chest, his arms encircling her waist.

All while the sounds of the city outside felt miles away compared to the storm of emotions in the bedroom.

Trinity's fingers were also massaging Von's scalp gently, her touch tender and soothing. She could feel the tension in his body, the stress and frustration that had built up over the day. So every now and then she'll press a kiss to his forehead, her lips lingering for a moment as she tried to infuse her love and support into that simple gesture.

"Talk to me baby" She whispered afterwards, her voice barely above a murmur. "What happened today with Kema?"

Dayvon then sighed heavily, making it clear that he was just overly exhausted. After everything went down, he tried to calm himself down in the parking lot, sitting in his car and listening to music. The beats and lyrics usually helped, but today it seemed like nothing could drown out the frustration and hurt. He thought about calling Tink but remembered she was at work, tied up with her own responsibilities. The idea of calling Durk crossed his mind too—he really needed someone to talk to—but he didn't want to be a burden or seem ignorant.

And for an hour or two, he just sat there, stewing in his thoughts, trying to hold it together. The anger and sadness kept bubbling up, no matter how hard he tried to push it down. So he finally realized he couldn't do it alone. He needed Trinity. Her calming presence, her understanding—it was the only thing that could've helped him. Which is why he texted her earlier.

"So you know we met up to talk about Kai and shit right," He began, his voice low and rough. Anyone could tell he was still upset. "But it escalated into a full-blown argument. Talkin' bout she's moving out of Chicago and taking Kasim with her"

"Oh my goodness?" Trinity gasped slightly as she listened intently, her heart instantly aching for him. "I can't believe she would do that. Why would she want to take Kasim away from you? I thought everything was going good?"

Von tightened his hold on her as if drawing strength from her presence. "Exactly. Her ass tweakin' now that she knows I'm finally with somebody again, and it's genuine. It's like she can't let go of the past, always wanting to keep things toxic. And that shit irritating" He continued.

"Every time we try to talk about co-parenting, it'll go good for a few months, then shit starts to go left. When whole time, all I wanna do is what's best for Kasim, but it's like we're stuck in this endless loop of arguments here and there"

Trinity felt a surge of protective anger on his behalf. She knew from Dayvon's accounts that Kema had often been difficult to deal with from the beginning. And she now saw Kema as a bitter ex, unable to move past their history and now determined to make things difficult for Dayvon. It was truly childish of her.
