A few days had passed since Trinity practically moved into Dayvon's house after the whole encounter that went down nights before. The woman was currently moving gracefully around the man's kitchen, the scent of sizzling garlic and onions filling the air, blending with the faint laughter emanating from the TV where Martin and Gina's antics played out.
She wore one of Dayvon's oversized shirts, as usual, the sleeves rolled up to her elbows, and her hair tied back in a loose bun.
Dayvon on the other hand, lounged on the couch, watching her with a lazy grin, appreciating the sight of her in his space, making herself at home. "It smells good as hell baby" He remarked, leaning back comfortably.
Tink glanced over her shoulder, a playful smile gracing her lips. "Well, I do aim to please" She replied, stirring the pasta sauce with a wooden spoon, the tomatoey aroma intensifying.
Setting the spoon aside, she turned off the stove once she was sure the pasta was perfectly cooked. She scooped the spaghetti, coated in a rich tomato sauce with cut-up garlic, onions, and bell peppers, onto two white glass plates.
A few minutes later, she then approached Dayvon, carrying the steaming dishes. She set them down on the coffee table so that she could settle beside him before handing him a plate.
"Here you go" She said softly, her eyes meeting his as she handed him a fork too. Dayvon accepted the plate with a grateful nod, his fingers briefly brushing against hers before he lifted his arm, allowing her to nestle under it as he wrapped it around her shoulder. And she instantly tucked her feet beneath her on the couch, snuggling closer to him.
"Thank you pretty" He quickly kissed her on the head, his gaze flickering from her face to the TV. Von took a generous forkful of the pasta, carefully blowing on it to cool it down a bit before taking a bite. He savored the rich flavors, appreciating the effort she had put into preparing the meal.
Trinity blushed lightly at the compliment, ducking her head as she also took a bite of her own food. "You're welcome" She murmured, stealing a glance at him.
Suddenly on the TV, the episode of "Martin" was reaching a particularly funny scene. Martin, played by Martin Lawrence, was clutching his jaw and pacing the room. "Gina, I told you, I ain't going to no dentist" He exclaimed, his voice exaggerated with pain and stubbornness.
Gina, played by Tisha Campbell, rolled her eyes dramatically. "Martin, you can't keep walking around with a toothache like that! You're gonna end up looking like the Hunchback of Notre Dame!" She retorted, hands on her hips.
The laugh track played in the background, filling the living room with the familiar sounds of audience laughter.
"Man Martin hella funny. Still is til this day" Dayvon chuckled and shook his head.
"Mhm" Trinity nodded in agreement. "Did you know the show was originally set in Detroit?"
Dayvon raised an eyebrow, impressed. "Damn, for real? Ian know that"
