"You... the men of God, looked me in my eyes and gave false evidence that ruined my marriage. " Drew said to them.

"Bishop, you have to understand that we didn't know that the evidence provided to us was false... sister Kenzie provided us the proof and brother Patrick was the one to confirm their authenticity. " one of the deacons said.

"So you're saying a woman came to you guys before the person who was actually involved and didn't think that it was suspicious? Even when she asked to suggest her to be next to marry the Bishop?" Karen asked.

"Ya'll hated me that much?" Karen asked and they just kept quiet.

"Karen... I swear we didn't know the photos were fake. " Kenzie said.

"How did you even know that the elders had a problem with Karen as first lady?" Drew asked Kenzie.

"One of my friends is in here and we happened to have the conversation. " Kenzie.

"So she wanted my man at the time and he wanted me gone and ya'll just the perfect opportunity to be evil?" Karen asked.

"I didn't want Drew initially , just when Patrick told me he could help me with it. " Kenzie said.

"I don't understand how that connected really... where did Patrick come to you? How did he know to come to you?" Drew asked his wife.

"It's complicated Drew. "Kenzie said.

"We truly thought we were protecting our Bishop when we received the pictures from sister Kenzie, we didn't know they were fake." another member said.

"I can see now that we should have come to the two of you or at least got to the bottom of things but our main goal was protecting the church. " he said.

"You guys ruined my marriage, you stripped the man I loved away from me.... in which world is such behaviour of a man and woman of God?" Karen asked them

"Do you know how much I've lost? I lost my son because of this... an entire human being , a baby! And I couldn't even tell it's father that he was his cause he wasn't going to believe me." Karen said feeling the pain all over again

"I was going to believe you Karen." Drew said.

"Drew shut up! You're no better than them... you allowed yourself to be pressured into the arms of another woman because of what? You loved your image that much? You loved being the bishop so much?" Karen asked him.

"Karen I was vulnerable, I was shattered. " Drew said.

"No... you were weak. You gave up and didn't even put up a fight for me. " Karen said and she got up.

"I also helped build this church, I was with Drew every step of the way. I mortgaged my house so we can pay for it and years later Ya'll don't even want me in it. " Karen said

"I'm done with this church. " Karen said and she left the room.

Drew got up and followed her leaving the members and his wife in the boardroom.

"Karen " Drew called out.

"What Drew?" Karen asked him.

"I thought- do you think- " Drew said and he stopped.

"Drew speak " Karen said.

"Do you think there's still a chance for us to fix things? You know, try again?" Drew asked her

"Are you serious?" Karen asked him dragging the serious.

"Karen look, our marriage ended by mistake we were supposed to spend all our lives together, we were supposed to be happy and have more babies. " Drew told her.
