"what was that about?" i asked Wooyoung as he came back over to us, truthfully i was unsure why he had gone over there in the first place. to anyone that didn't know Jung Wooyoung he simply looked like he was looking for a book, but i for one knew him to well and he definitely hadn't ambled over there for literature.
"Nothing," he evaded, averting his gaze as he started chattering with San.
I grasped his arm firmly and tugged so he'd meet my inquisitive stare once more. "It was clearly not nothing. You were conversing with him," I pried.
"He addressed me first," Wooyoung shrugged nonchalantly.
"That's the guy from the other morning, isn't it? What did he say?" I tilted my head up at him, brows furrowed.
"He told me to shut up, but in more words I guess," Wooyoung said with an exaggerated eye roll.
"You guess?" I looked at him skeptically. "What did he really say, Woo?"
"Basically that we're too loud and it's irritating because some people actually came here to work," he responded flatly, holding my gaze.
"He's right, I hadn't realized how boisterous we were being," I remarked as I suddenly became much more aware of how our rambunctious group of eight was disrupting the tranquil atmosphere expected of a bookstore.
I looked over to the table where the other male was sitting. As I looked over he was talking to the person with him as they held a book up to their face. He held his hand out saying something he seemed pretty adamant about. The person moved the book and laid it out in his open palm. He smiled and took the book before opening it and talking again. The girl tucked a strand of hair behind her ear and I realized who it was - the girl I saw in the mess hall the other day. A thought hit me as I looked at her and then to the male she sat with.
'Are they together?!' A pang of disappointment hit me.
I slowly walked over to them and approached the table. "Hi, I'm sorry about my friend," I looked at the male who looked back at me with a raised brow.
"He doesn't know how to apologize for himself? And he's not the only one being loud," he blinked slowly at me.
"Oh- I um..." I was taken aback by his bluntness. "That's Wooyoung and I'm Hongjoong," I tried making peace with him but he only stared at me.
"Laney," the girl spoke but never looked at me, "and that's Ollie," she added.
"Sorry about my group," I flashed her a smile.
"Just keep it down," Ollie sighed and went back to drawing.
"Please," Laney added softly.
"Again, sorry. I'll try to rein them in," I said before turning and walking back to the guys.
