Relief was the only thing I felt when Ollie finally let me off the hook for shoving him into a room with Wooyoung. The thought of him being upset with me was nerve wracking in a way I couldn't explain, and being that I'm an overthinker, I couldn't shake the feeling no matter how hard I tried.

I remember laying in bed with Hongjoong, his arms wrapped around me tightly as the morning sun began to seep into the room through the cracks of his curtains. I had been awake for about thirty minutes, my mind whirling with thoughts of my friend and his current "relationship" along with thoughts of my own, when my phone vibrated loudly on the bedside table. It wasn't anything major. No long paragraphs about his angry feelings toward my actions. Just a few words and Ollie teasing me about it, which I still haven't heard the end of.

Currently, we were all sitting in Seonghwa's massive apartment that he shared with Yunho and Mingi, huddled together in a circle as we played Uno. Turns out that playing Uno with a group of ten people was more competitive than expected.

"Bro, not the reverse again! How many times are you two going to skip me?" I screeched, my eyes flicking between San and Wooyoung as they snickered at my behavior. "Demon twins."

Wooyoung held his heart dramatically. "Me? Evil? Never."

I rolled my eyes at him as I studied my cards. "Okay, Ollie 2.0. You two are made for each other."

Hongjoong nudged me with his shoulder as he kissed my cheek. "Don't worry about them, darling. We'll get revenge on them one day."

I smiled toothily before giving him a soft peck on the lips and turned to Wooyoung and San. "Mark my words, you will pay for this."

The two feigned fear before San placed his last card, allowing me to finally take my turn. The game ended with Jongho winning and pulling the maknae trump card before we played a few more rounds. As the games went on, I looked around the group, studying everyone. The way Yeosang seemed to suppress himself when he was around others but was one of the kindest people I'd ever met. And Yunho, the guy who was a big cuddly golden retriever. Jongho, the youngest but brightest (and strongest) one out of us all.

Then there was Seonghwa who made everyone feel loved and wanted and cared so deeply that I feared that he'd be most torn if anything happened to the people he loved. Then we had San, the lovable man who looked like a mountain but cared so gently (and mischievously.) Wooyoung, San's evil counterpart, who livened up the place and always found a way to make people smile. And Mingi, who was a firecracker in public but a soft soul in private.

And last but not least, my boyfriend, Hongjoong. The man had a way of commanding the space, making you feel seen in a sea full of people. I learned that his friends called him Captain because any time they needed him, he showed up and handled things like a good captain should. His leadership skills didn't just show up in the friend group but also in his everyday life. He took charge and garnered the attention of so many people that for a moment, I thought I'd be left in the shadows while he held the spotlight. Hongjoong made me feel safe, secure. He heard me. He saw me for who I truly was and never failed to show it. I know it's too early, but I think I'm headed down the path of falling irrevocably in love with him.

The sound of a stomach rumbling loudly blared over the group and all of us turned our eyes on Ollie as he clutched his stomach, his eyes wide.

"Don't just stare at me like that!" he squeaked, his face shifting to mask his embarrassment even though we'd all clocked it already. "I can't help it that my body yells at me for not eating."

"I was going to ask if you were hungry, but then you made that face and it took everything I had not to laugh," I replied, the laugh fighting to escape as I attempted to hide my sniggers with my hand over my mouth.

"You know, I thought we talked about you playing nice today," Ollie said, his brows furrowed as he grew irritated with me.

"I am playing nice! Would it help if we went to get coffee and pick up food from that tteokbokki place you like? Would you forgive me then?" I asked sweetly and at the mention of coffee, his face lit up.

"Yes, but you're paying."

I nodded and stuck my hand out to pull him off the floor. "I wouldn't have it any other way."
