Ever since Hongjoong and his friends came into the book store, Ollie raved about their behavior and the fact that Wooyoung had found any reason he could to be around Ollie. I don't know when the switch happened but at some point, he and I started spending more time together and any time Wooyoung did anything to piss him off, Ollie would come running to tell me all about it.
Being the good friend that I am, I agreed with everything he said. If my friend was mad at someone, so was I. So that meant suppressing any thoughts I had about Hongjoong when Ollie was around.
Speaking of, Ollie trampled into the bookstore with a panicked look on his face as he breezed past me and hid in the small office area located behind the front desk.
"Bro, what the fuck?" I asked, shock plastered all over my face.
"I need to hide," he said in-between breaths. "I swear, every time I turn around, there he is bothering me. I just need a few hours of peace, please."
I nodded in understanding before returning to the stack of papers I was tasked with sorting through. The boss needed to know which books had been returned for the week and which ones were still out. I was halfway through the stack when the bell went off informing me of someone entering.
I looked up to offer my usual greeting when my eyes locked on Hongjoong's, a smile appearing on his face as he saw me. Panic filled me as I ran through the many possibilities of how to avoid talking to him and I wished that I could be hiding with Ollie, too.
Before I could formulate an excuse, Hongjoong approached the counter and almost knocked me out with his gorgeous smile.
"Hi," he said shyly and I returned the greeting. "I was hoping you could help me find a book I need for one of my classes."
I thought about what Ollie said when he walked in and smirked as I came up with a response. "Sure, but on one condition."
He smiled slightly, his body leaning back in surprise as he said, "Oh, we're asking for favors now?"
"Likewise, but it's not for me, genius. I need you to tell Wooyoung to leave Ollie alone. He's setting off a rage in the man I'm not ready to see."
Hongjoong shrugged. "Personally, I think they should just make out already."
I chuckled in disbelief. "I highly doubt that will ever happen. Now if you'll agree to my terms and conditions, I'd gladly help you find the book you're looking for."
Hongjoong agreed with a sign and proclaimed that he made no promises but he'd try and I heard the satisfied chuckle from Ollie through the office door before I led the male where he needed to be.
