Healing Her: Kate Martin

Love her

Caitlin's Pov:

I sit there listening to Kate spill her guts and explain what had happened while I was at dinner. But the thing that stuck out to me the most is that Reese is lying in Kate's arms, fast asleep, like knocked out, cold. Reese can't even do touch like a high five or a handshake when meeting new people. So the fact that she is literally in Kate's arms and they only met a couple of days ago. I know that their relationship is going to be very special. And the way that Kate remembered what I said about Reese not being good with touch. The way that Kate is running her hands in her hair and talking softly. I can definitely see that she cares about my baby sister and I know that she would be safe with her. 

When I zone back in I hear Kate saying "I wouldn't do that to you without having your permission." I respond back saying "I believe you Kate, I know that you only wanted Reese to be safe and protected." I continue saying "But I can't get past the fact that she is lying in your arms fast asleep and y'all only met a couple of days ago." I look down at Reese snuggled up to Kate with her head laying in the crook of her neck. 

"I didn't ask her about her dream, I figured that it would not of been the best idea, but I do want to know about her past eventuality so I can help her in the future if something happens or she has an event that reminds her of a past trauma or occurrence." Kate says looking at me as to show that she truly cares for Reese. "She will tell you when she feel's safe enough to share that trauma." I reply back. "I know and I will wait for her for however long she needs." Kate says back to me. I think she loves her. But out of all the people I know I would not want any other person to love my sister than Kate. 

Kate's Pov: 

After hearing Cait tell me that Reese doesn't normally become this comfortable with a new person she has met this soon it makes me feel good about myself in a way. But when I look at Reese I feel more than I would about a friend. I want to make sure that she feels safe and comfortable enough around me to be able to talk to me about anything. Like how she feels, what her favorite things are, what she loves, who matters to her, anything in the world really.

Reese's Pov: 

I slowly stir awake and I am met with Kate still holding me and I look over to see Caitlin asleep on the little couch in Kate's room. I bring my hand up to rub the tiredness out of my eyes. Just as I do I hear a whisper from Kate "Hi pretty girl, how did you sleep?" she says in her morning voice. Which is honestly pretty hot. "I sleep super good" I say back as I snuggle back up while moving so my hips are on her stomach. "Good I'm glad, are you comfy?" "Very comfy."

We are just laying here for a bit when I hear Caitlin say "Morning love birds". I giggle and hide my face in Kate's neck. "Morning Cait" I hear Kate says as she runs her hands up and down my back. "Wait why were you asleep in here Caitlin?" I say to her while getting up and stretching. "Well Kate explained everything and I was a little worried you might wake up in the middle of the night but you didn't so." Caitlin says back while smiling at the fact that I was able to sleep through the whole night.
