Gabbie's Pov:
We just finished practice around 20 minutes ago and I decided to drive and get some Panera. I asked Caitlin before I left what Reese's order would be. I'm staying with her tonight so I wanted to grab us something good but simple. Caitlin said that she normally gets a Grilled Cheese and a Frozen Strawberry Lemonade. I decided to get a Bacon Turkey Bravo Sandwich with an Iced Carmel Latte. I wanted to surprise Reese and maybe it will boost her spirits some.
She's been pretty down since her accident which makes sense but it is still hard to see. I pull up to her apartment and grab the key to open the door. Reese gave the key to Caitlin so everyone can easily get into her apartment without her having to get up and let us in. I walk in halfway excepting her to be on the couch but it makes more sense for her to be in her room. I put the food down on the kitchen island. I quietly knock on her door before saying "Hey Reese, I brought you some food from Panera." I don't get a reply and just hear some shuffling around. "Hey, I'm gonna come in." I say before opening the door.
She is lying on her bed, eyes red and tears still running down her cheek, phone in hand. "What's wrong? I ask as I walk over to her. "Everyone's right, i don't deserve to be on the team anyway." "Yes you do, you have worked your butt off the get to this point." "Even if you're right it's all over now." "It's not over, you just have a little challenge standing in your way." I say before continuing. "Is there anything I can do to help you?" "Can you call Kate or Caitlin?" She asked me wiping her tears off her face. "I think Caitlin was meeting with Coach Bluder after practice so Kate it is." "Okay."
