Reese's Pov:

We are pulling up to the practice gym. Kate has calmed me down quite a bit from our simple conversation and just her comforting hand. She just gets me. She knows how to handle my crazy emotions. I go to grab the door handle and open the door. I feel Kate grab my hand and pull it away (gently). "No, no." She starts as she grabs my chin turning my face toward her. "That's my job." She continues then opens her door and runs around the car to my side opening my door for me. "Here you go my lady." She says in a fancy British accent. "Why thank you kind lady." I say back mimicking her accent. Kate grabs both our basketball bags and throwing them over her shoulder.

"Ready?" Kate asks me as we are just a few feet from Coach B's office, we were told to meet them there. "Now I am, are you?" "I am ready for anything with you by my side." I laugh before saying "Alright you little simp." "Ha ha." Kate says back pushing my shoulder teasingly. I knock on the door and hear a "Come on in girls." We look at each other before letting our hands fall to each of our sides. Kate opens the door letting me in first. "Hi Coach B, Coach J." "Hey girls what can we do for you?" Coach B says. We sit down on the extra chairs opposite to their seats. Kate takes this one, "We have something we need to talk to y'all about." "Alright, let's hear it." Coach J says back  looking over at Coach B in confusion. "Reese... and I." "Yes??" Coach B encourages. "Reese and I are in a romantic relationship with each other." Kate says before I continue right after. "I know we should have told you guys earlier but we were worried about telling people along with the fact that I am still confused about my sexuality and we wanted to take everything slow. But we knew that we had to tell y'all because it would involve our careers." I ramble out trying to show how we were thinking. "Reese, Reese, we get it, and we one hundred percent support both of you guys as players and as partners in a relationship. We are glad y'all felt comfortable enough to tell us. I know how difficult it is to come out to someone and to be public about your relationship." Coach Jensen says with such sincerity and honesty. "I completely agree what Jan said, we will always be in support of y'all's relationship. I think our only "concern" would be the communication between the two of you in games and on the court." Coach Bluder says continuing Coach J's thoughts. "And we definitely see your concern and we have talked these things through multiple times and we believe that this will only bring our connection on and off the court to be stronger." Kate says while grabbing my hand squeezing it 3 times. We have developed this as a way to bring me back from a bad mindset. The first squeeze "I", the second "love", and the last one "you." 123. I love you.

After telling the coaches I feel so much better about telling our teammates. I am sure that they have had some kind of idea about it well probably Gabbie and Jada. "Well I think that went very well." Kate says bringing me into a hug slotting her head on top of mine like a perfect puzzle piece. "I think it did too." I say into her chest. "How do you feel about telling the girls?" I continue into her chest feeling so comfortable and safe in her arms. "I am ready for it as long as you are." Kate says kissing the crown of my head and then moving one of her hands to my chin bringing me in to a kiss. "Okayyy y'all are getting comfortable now aren't ya?" After hearing that voice we pull apart from each other quickly. But calm down knowing that it was just Caitlin and no one else. "I would assume the conversation with the coaches went well?" She continues pulling me into a hug then dabbing Kate up before hugging her as well. "I think it went super good." I say back smiling. "I'm glad Ree, I'm proud of you, both of you." She says before walking to the locker room to get ready for practice.

Kate and I exit from the locker room together waking up to the circle everyone gets into every practice. "Hey guys how are y'all?" Kate asks the group. Everyone either says something along the lines of tired but good. We are standing next to each other occasionally touching either rubbing hands, leaning on each other, or Kate wraps her arms across my shoulders. We are just being a little more hansy then normal. And it's safe to say the girls are noticing. But I think the thing that sets them off is when Kate comes up behind me after getting some water and grabbing me by the waist leaning into me, whispering into my ear. She actually just said "Falafel" which is a random word I shout often due to my ADHD and slight Autism. It's like a tick of mine.

The person that actually brings it up is Sydney who says "Okayyyy, what is going on here?" "I don't know what you're talking about Syd." Kate teases back at her. "Just tell us please." Gabbie says while jumping and putting her hands together in a begging gesture. "Kate and I might be in a relationship with each other, a romantic relationship." I say smiling at the feeling of telling someone finally. All the girls start jumping happily and smiling as they all say things along the lines of "Y'all are so cute" or "It's like a perfect match." And Kate and I can do is smile at the support and hug each other finally feeling the weight off our shoulders for waiting.
