Caitlin's Pov:
I gently open the door and am met with Reese having a meltdown and I know that this is not good. She doesn't look up when I open the door or even when I say "Reese's Pieces?" or "Reese can you hear me?" I look back at Kate and Gabbie and tell the to go talk to the doctor while I try and calm Reese back down. Once they leave I walk up to Reese and put my hand on her shoulder. She jumps at my touch. "Hey, hey it's okay honey it's me, it's Cait." "I-its o-over." "What is honey?" "My career"
I just open my arms and she falls into them. Her body is wracking with her sobs. I know that this is not just about her knee. It's a compilation of many things. I haven't seen her this broken since Jake. "Is there anything I can do honey?" I ask her while running my hands up and down her back. "Kate" is all she says back to me. "You want me to get Kate?" "Mhm" "Can Gabbie also come?" "Mhm" I can tell she is exhausted. "Okay honey, I'll text them."

Kate's Pov:
Once I got Caitlin's text, I raced to Reese's room. I walk up to the door and see that Gabbie is already there. "Ready?" Gabbie asks me. "I think so" I reply back and open the door. When I look into the room my heart breaks. My baby is broken, lying in her sister's arms. I look at Caitlin and she tries to give me a reassuring smile. "Hi baby" as I say this she immediately lifts her head up from Caitlin's neck and makes grabby hands at me. I smile at her and gently slide into her bed and pull her into my arms.
Reese is pretty much laying on top of me since she can't bend her knee. And to be honest I'm trying not to think about it. Because all I want to do right now is grab her my the neck and kiss her. I want to show her that everything will be okay. I wrap my arms around her waist and put my face into her neck, placing soft, delicate kisses on her bare skin. I'm brought out of my trace when I hear Caitlin and Gabbie laughing. I look up and see them taking a picture of us. "Look at the lovebirds." Gabbie says.
