After arriving back at Mondstadt, Son Wu didn't have much to do. Aether had left to run an errand for Kaeya, and he still hadn't heard anything from Venti. Wu grunted. That constant, dull dread still remained lodged in the center of his chest. His world was still in danger, and every second he wasn't there...

Wu shook his head. There was no use losing his mind over something he couldn't change. Not at the moment. Wu decided that his best course of action was to learn about this world, and headed to the library in the Knights of Favonius headquarters.

-----------

Son Wu entered the library, not paying any attention to the lady sleeping at the front desk as he strode past and to the shelves of books. He sifted through every shelf and cabinet, floating up and down the room and selecting each book he found important. A compendium of flora and fauna in Teyvat, a field guide on monters, a book on the seven elements, a travel guide of all of Teyvat, a compendium of Mondstadt's history, a history book covering some cataclysm, a book on an archon war?

By the end of it, Wu had seated himself at a desk with a pile of books that was almost as tall as him. He skimmed through each and every one, taking in information about this world.

-----------

Lisa stirred, making a noise of irritation at the sound of pages frantically flapping. She lifted her head, her face poking out from underneath her wide-brim hat. Her expression brightened at the sight of that cute boy with the monkey's tail. He sat at a desk alone, flipping through a book with a massive pile of others to his side. He had already managed to skin through a quarter of his pile.

Lisa got up from her desk, stretching and walking up to Wu, who was firmly rooted in the contents of the pages he skimmed through.

"You know, cutie..." Lisa said, taking the book out of Wu's hands. "It's common courtesy to pay for the books before you read them." Lisa said.

"...I currently have no-"

Wu quickly snatched a book he had placed on the side, flipping to a page he remembered.

"-'Mora'..." He said, reading off of the page.

"Well then, you've made a mess for no reason..." Lisa scolded him jokingly, looking at the mess he made of her carefully stocked books.

"Oh, come on..." Wu grunted, reaching up to grab the book, only for her to lift it out of his reach. He tried again, only for the same thing to happen. "Would you quit...!" Wu tried a few times, before he finally lept out of his seat, gripping the book tightly and tearing it out of her grasp. Wu floated back down, crossing his legs and placing them on the table as he continued reading. In response, Lisa's gentle smile dropped from her face.

"Ah ah ah...~" Lisa said disapprovingly, placing a hand on his chest as her gaze darkened.

"...Wha-"

BZRRRT!!!

A massive jolt of electricity erupted into Wu's body, making him scream and fall from his seat, writhing on the ground.

"Now, what do we have to say to the nice librarian?" Lisa asked, keeping the hand pressed with a partially sadistic smirk.

"I'M SORRY!!! I'M SORRY!!!" Wu apologized profusely, his nerves frying as his limbs went haywire.

"Good boy...~" Lisa licked her lips. "Now, if you want to pay for these books without any mora, I can have you run a few errands for me instead..." Lisa said, removing her hand and letting Wu collapse in a twitching heap.

----------

Wu, after teaching himself how to breathe again, sighed, picking up a pile of books.

"Deliver these new arrivals to some customers that had them pre-ordered..." Lisa said.
