Within Cloud Retainer's domain, a network of floating islands separated by shafts of orange, solid light, able to be manipulated to allow access and travel between each island, Cloud Retainer stood proudly, Shenhe close at her side. In her infinite wisdom, Cloud Retainer had decided to bind that screaming chimp within the strongest of her engineered bindings, so that he may be interrogated upon his waking. They now stood in the very same room as the unconscious ape as he was tended to by her most ingenious drones and medical contraptions.
"Master, is it wise to heal Son Wu?" Shenhe asked, ever presently clutching her spear.
"Nonsense, my student. One personally constructed those chains to withstand the thrashing of Azdaha" Cloud Retainer said haughtily. "Besides, that unwashed simian is far too weak to even rattle those chains, let alone shatter them."
"Master." Shenhe gripped her spear tightly, her gaze hardening as she turned to Wu's body. "He's waking."
Son Wu stirred, flinching as he opened his eyes, hearing the machines around him and feeling them prod and tug at parts of his body.
"What the...?" Wu's eyes widened at the sight of them. All around him, machines and drones made of gold, stone, and jade, powered by Anemo energy prodded and tugged at him, seemingly measuring him head to toe. He was convinced Teyvat was a feudal age society, what the hell is this...?
"You're awake." Cloud Retainer spoke, and Wu sat up in a flash, turning to the Adeptus as a scowl spread across his face.
"You...!" Wu hissed, trying to sit up further, only for the specially designed chains shackling his body to catch his wrists mid-movement.
"Hmph. You might as well forsake any thought of resistance. Those chains have the late Rex Lapis' seal of approva-"
CRUNK!!!
"WHAT THE!?" Cloud Retainer squawked as Wu snarled and burst with ki, flying towards her with enough speed to tear the chains from their foundations.
Crash!!!
Cloud Retainer cried out as Wu flew straight into her, sending them flying out of the chamber they were standing in.
"Master!!!" Shenhe cried, pursuing them.
"YOU WANT A PIECE OF ME!?!?!? YOU WANT A PIECE OF ME!?!?!?" Wu yelled repeatedly in a crazed frenzy, still hot with the rage he had felt towards the Adeptus for nearly crushing him flat between a mountain and a hurricane. Cloud Retainer squawked and bucked like a horse as Wu clung to her back, flapping her wings frantically.
"GET IT OFF, GET IT OFF!!!" Cloud Retainer shrieked, thrashing in a panic as the ape clawed for a hold on her back.
"Master, hold still!!!" Shenhe said, dashing around Cloud Retainer in a circle as she tried to get a good angle to hit Wu.
CHOMP!!!
"GYAAAAAHHH!!!" Cloud Retainer shrieked as Wu bit down on her shoulder, his teeth sinking into pristine feathers and tasty meat.
"You BASTARD!!!" Shenhe lept up, planting a kick into Wu's side, sending him flying off of her. Wu rolled away into a low crouch, only for Shenhe to burst after him.
"You LECHEROUS LANGUR!!!" Cloud Retainer yelled, clutching her shoulder with rosy cheeks, her stalky legs trembling as Shenhe and Wu fought for the nth time.
DSH!!!
After a short but intense skirmish, Shenhe got the upper hand, pinning Wu to the wall with the shaft of her spear pressed to his neck. Wu barely held her back, just able to push against the shaft enough that his throat wasn't crushed.
