Wu, Aether, and Paimon slowly traversed the mountains of Liyue, slowly making their way to Jueyun Karst, the alleged home of the great Adepti.

"..." Wu kept his eyes closed and his brows knitted as he took in the ki signatures of every life form in the mountain range, trying to feel for something powerful. He could definitely sense the remnants of something strong, divine even, but it was nothing like what he'd felt in the presence of Venti or Vegeta. He was also wary of that one girl's ki signature. If she herself was an Adeptus, then she'd be trouble.

"God, I have so many enemies these days..." Wu muttered.

"You're realizing this now!?" Paimon barked.

"Heheh...!" Wu chuckled.

The three made good progress, traversing mountains and dipping into valleys as the home of the Adepti loomed closer. All this walking of course gave Wu more time to introspect.

"...Shouldn't I be more agitated that Rex Lapis is dead?" Wu thought to himself. Sure, he'd been wronged by gods before, but he'd been showed both a benevolent and peaceful god in the form of Venti. A counterpoint was the fact that he had the Dragon Balls to get him home. If he could find a way to zero in on the Dragon Balls, then what use did he have for any of the gods of Teyvat outside of a few questions to answer?

Selfish, selfish.

Wu sighed. It wasn't just about him. An entire nation had just lost its leader, a grand symbol of power and strength, and a well of knowledge and wisdom of centuries. Not to mention Aether's plight. Asking the gods was his one chance of any sort of answers for his sister's condition.

...Wait, should he tell Aether that Lumine is alive?

"I don't think he's ready to meet me. Not yet..."

Wu remembered what Lumine said, and he shook his head. Whoever Lumine was now, she had changed from the Lumine Aether knew. His sweet sister was now leading abyssal monsters, trying to subjugate Dvalin, and orchestrated his first Oozaru transformation. How the hell did she know how to make an artificial moon anyways?

Question, more questions, and even more questions upon them.

Team Three Star exited a low valley surrounded by taller peaks, finding a worn down offering place, with a flat circular area made of stone connected to a small staircase that led to an incense shrine.

"And who might we be? Those that dare enter Jueyun Karst?"

Aether flinched, and Wu hopped back into a fighting stance as a deep, echoing voice spoke out suddenly. They turned to see a great deer like beast standing in front of the shrine adorned with dark brown body fur, dark green head and neck fur, throat fur that went from a white before shifting from yellow to orange, and a white line of fur that ran down its spine. Glowing foreign symbols sat on the beast's lower back and rear, and the tips of its crown of antlers glowed with divine power.

"Here before you stands the mighty and illuminated Adeptus, Moon Carver. Speak, travelers, what business do you have here?"

Moon Carver's voice reverberated through the walls of the mountains surrounding them.

"Actually..." Paimon floated up from between Wu and Aether.

"Heads up." Wu said in advance as more than a dozen boots thudded up the path they came from.

"It's the assasin! They dared to flee here to Jueyun Karst!" A millelith soldier spat, heading an entire platoon.

"Sir, we've already stepped too far into these lands ourselves...!" Another soldier said.
