Wu was silent as he shadowed his "allies", with a quiet, conflicted look. He was utterly silent as they bantered amongst one another, sharing stories and slowly connections beyond allies by circumstance. Not Wu. Not anymore. Now, he didn't know who the hell he was walking with. He didn't know why. He didn't even know what or where. He didn't care anymore.

In their chummy, comedic banter, the "heroes" didn't see Wu's tail start to bristle. His gaze grows more agitated, more angry. What were his problems with their grand quest? Their grand adventure? Venti didn't care. The others didn't even know.

How. Dare. They?

Lumine's words played on a loop in his head. Venti was a liar. A treacherous, selfish, and unfeeling god, donning an innocent mask. A god that didn't care who she had to lie to, who she had to damn to attain what she wanted. Using him like a puppet. And most likely, as a weapon to subjugate Dvalin, should the Lyre fail.

How. Dare. She?

To trick him like this? Order him around, promising him something she knew she couldn't offer? Him, the champion of earth? The first-tailed Saiyan in hundreds of years? The descendant of Son Goku and Vegeta?

Son Wu's pride boiled like a molten crucible, twisting and curling as his ki stewed in his body, barely suppressed as he bore holes through Venti's back with his gaze.

He stood silent, followed, stood silent, and followed as they continued on. They stopped at the Dawn Winery, bantered, repaired the lyre, and bantered again. They bantered on as they chose the location of their ritual, the peak of Starsnatch Cliff. He didn't say a thing as they began their short, sweet journey.

They didn't notice.

Why would they?

What place did he have in this story?

None.

"What a view..." Paimon said as they had finally reached the peak of the massive cliff overlooking the sea.

"Lovely for a fated reunion, isn't it?" Venti asked. "Regardless, we must be prepared for a fight." Venti chuckled.

"Regardless of the outcome, things finally seem to be taking a turn for the better. Mondstadt has gone through so much recently..." Jean said.

"Hmph. In the end, the solution to our problem was as simple as a monkey, a traveler, and a song." Diluc said. "I suppose the Knights of Favonius may have played a part in it too." He said curtly.

"Oh, we get it, Master Diluc... Everyone, please step aside!" Venti said. "I, the best wandering bard of the mortal world, shall begin my performance with the Holy Lyre.

The others stepped back as Venti stood at the edge of the crag of the cliff, clutching the Lyre.

Venti played a gentle, pacifying tune. So much so that, for a moment, Wu's anger faded.

Which ended as quickly as it had begun when the cliff was shaken by a massive tremor. In an instant, the gentle breeze in the air kicked into the howl of a storm. The entire cliff shook as Dvalin's massive form shot up and past the top of the cliff, creating a blast of wind that all but Wu and Venti had to shield themselves from.

"You have come..."

Dvalin's cavernous, echoing voice said.

"What has been done cannot be undone..."
