RUVIK
As we returned to the dining room,The servant was waiting, a picture of professionalism, and as he began to speak, I wondered if he had overheard anything that had transpired between Rui and me.
"It's raining heavily outside," he began, his tone respectful, "so the authorities have closed all the roads and exits. Mr. and Mrs. Meadows were caught in the rain and were unable to make it back. They've found a hotel to stay in for the night and won't be able to join us for dinner. You have the option to call and talk to them if you'd like."
Rui's expression remained composed, and I could sense a mixture of emotions within her. When she spoke, her voice was calm and collected. "It's all right," she said, her gaze steady, "please go ahead and serve us the food."
The servant nodded in understanding, his professional demeanor unchanged. I couldn't help but admire Rui's poise even in the face of unexpected changes. As the servant moved to bring the food, I found myself drawn to the way Rui handled the situation – a reminder of her strength and resilience.
Seated side by side, the servants placed the delicious spread of Indian food before us. As I opted for a glass of wine, Rui chose a refreshing Coca-Cola – a small detail that seemed to highlight the intriguing contrast between us.
Our conversation took an unexpected turn as I probed, "So, Rui, let's talk superheroes. Who's your absolute favorite?".
A playful grin crossed her face as she responded, "Well, I might be a little biased, but Superman has a special place in my heart."
I raised an eyebrow, curiosity piqued. "Superman, huh? What's the reason behind this particular fondness?".
She laughed, a twinkle in her eyes. "Okay, full disclosure – I might be in love with Henry Cavill. But who can blame me, right?".
I leaned in, feigning astonishment. "Ah, so it's all about the actor, is it?".
She playfully nudged my shoulder. "Well, who can resist a superhero with those dreamy blue eyes and that charming smile?".
I laughed, genuinely amused by her admission. "Fair enough, Henry Cavill does have a certain charm about him. But let me ask you this – if someone got exposed to some cosmic rays, could they become Henry Cavill?".
Rui burst into laughter, her eyes sparkling with amusement. "Oh, you're impossible. Henry Cavill's charm is one of a kind, but his real-life charisma doesn't come from cosmic rays.”
I leaned in, a playful glint in my eyes. "You're right, of course. It's just that we're diving into a universe where anything seems possible."
I wanted to know more about her, and maybe this is a Start
“so superman is your most favourite huh?”.
A mischievous grin played on her lips as she replied, "Well, besides Superman, I have a soft spot for Peacemaker."
I raised an eyebrow, genuinely curious now. "Peacemaker, you say? What's the story behind that choice?".
She chuckled, her eyes lighting up. "Okay, brace yourself for this. It all started with my love for WWE. Since I was a little kid, I've been a dedicated fan, and one of my all-time favorites is John Cena."
I couldn't help but smile at her enthusiasm. “You also watch wrestling?”.
“Yeahhh huge wrestling fan" she exclaimed. "And when I found out that he was cast as Peacemaker in the DC Extended Universe, I was over the moon. I mean, I've watched him in the wrestling ring for years, watched all of his movies and now he's playing a superhero? It's like a dream come true."
