The next morning, I was finally permitted to return to work. Lucius had allowed it, probably because he didn't want me to escape again.
Lucius and I went to work together, Lucius were silent the whole ride, while Caius, Shanz, and I engaged in constant bickering throughout the journey.
Upon our arrival at the office, Lucius and I immediately began working, while Caius and Shanz stayed in the office, talking meaningless things.
"Bobo ka ba pre? Mas nauna ang itlog sa manok" Caius argued
"Tanga ka pala eh, mas nauna nga ang manok" Di nagpatalo si Shanz
"Napaka bobo talaga, eh ano yung manok nung bata pa sya?" Caius asked
"Sisiw" Shanz replied
"Bobo! Itlog yun!" Caius argued
"Tanga ka, edi sino nagsilang sa itlog ha?!" Shanz said
Caius and Shanz continued their arguments, engaging in meaningless chatter. They stopped when Lucas and Stella entered the office.
"Eh ikaw bro? Sino ang nauna para sayo, manok o itlog" Shanz asked Lucas
Lucas paid no attention to Shanz previous comment, heading straight to Lucius and passing him some documents.
"That's all the information I could gather, it seems her background is inexplicably secure, as if shielded from scrutiny." Lucas looked at Lucius and stated calmly
Lucius opened the papers, skimming through them as he attempted to focus on the information therein while Caius and Shanz continuously subjected relentless bickering.
"Ikaw Stella, Sino nauna para sayo? Manok o itlog?" Caius asked stella
Stella just rolled her eyes at them at walang balak na sagutin ang tanong ni Caius
"Apaka sungit naman ne'to, kala mo maganda" Caius rolled his eyes trying to mock stella
"What did you just say?!" Stella seemed to heard what Caius had said
"Wala po, sabi ko ang ganda mo po, oo" Caius smiled to annoy stella more
Stella seemed annoyed but she decided to ignore Caius maybe cause she was used to it
"Huy ikaw, sino nauna para sa'yo? Manok o itlog?" Caius asked me
"Manok" i said shortly
"Oh diba? Manok nga nauna, tanga ka" Shanz said and felt proud
"Bobo n'yong lahat" Caius said
"Sige nga, explain mo Laoise!" Caius added
"Fossilized eggs have been discovered with an age of approximately 200 million years, while domesticated chickens appeared around 4000 years ago. If pagbabasehan natin ang sagot sa binigay mong tanong edi the egg came first before the chicken" i stated
"However, if we change the question to which came first, the chicken or the chicken egg? It depends on the definition of an egg. If the egg is defined as the origin of the first chicken, then the egg came first." I added
"Diba manok sagot mo?" Shanz asked
"Patapusin mo kasi ako! Eggs existed during the time of dinosaurs before chicken evolved but these were not chicken eggs, The chicken egg on the other hand has a protein called OC17 only found in ovaries of chickens making chicken first" i replied
