My heart felt a pang and tightened upon hearing Shanz's revelation about Celestine's importance to Lucius. I acted nonchalantly, trying to hide any sign of vulnerability, simply replying,

"Oh.. okay." I managed to utter

Caius, noticing my reaction, couldn't resist teasing me

"Eyy selos yarn?" He teased

Annoyed, I responded by raising my middle finger at him before settling onto a nearby sofa.

"Kung ako yan Laoise, di kita gaganyanin" Caius said in a sarcastic tone

"Talaga ba, Caius?" In a mirroring tone, I replied, I leaned in closer to him, with a smirk on my face.

Caius immediately averted his gaze, and Shanz couldn't help but burst into laughter at our playful banter.

"Stop blushing, you big baby," I teased Caius, enjoying the light-hearted moment.

"I am not blushing! Kadiri ka" He retorted defensively, his cheeks slightly reddening.

"Hmm sure, you're not" I chuckled, enjoying how easy it was to get a reaction out of him.

I continued to tease, poking his reddening cheeks with a smirk,

"Your face says otherwise. You're as red as a tomato." I teased

"Che! Layuan mo nga ako, kadirdir ew" He said and acted like disgusted

I chuckled upon hearing Caius.
Meanwhile, Shanz was rolling on the floor, clutching his stomach as he laughed uncontrollably, finding our banter hilariously entertaining.

I chuckled at both of their reactions and decided to add fuel to the fire. I pretended to get even closer to Caius

"Oh, come on. You know you love it." I teased

"No, I don't!" He protested, his cheeks turning even more red.

Shanz, on the floor, was wiping tears from his eyes, still rolling with laughter at the scene unfolding before him.

I leaned in closer towards Caius, my previous grin replaced with an angry expression. Before he could protest, I pinched his side, causing him to groan in pain.

"I haven't forgiven you for ditching me at the coffee shop," I stated firmly.

"I'm sorry, okay? Ouch—" he protested, wincing in discomfort.

Meanwhile, Shanz stood up and continued laughing, finding our bickering amusing.

"Pre, okay ka pa jan? Parang mamamatay kana ah" Caius chuckled

"Ako na maglilibing" I offered

"Sige, tapos pink yung susuotin natin" Caius suggested

"Ba't pink? Bakla ka ba, ha?" I enquired

"Pag pink, bakla agad? Di pwedeng barbie fan lang" Caius stated

"Tanga, bakla ka nga" I laughed

"Gago, hindi uy" Caius said

"Huy buhay pa ako rito, pinagpa-planuhan n'yo na jan lamay ko!" Shanz argued

After that, Shanz's office was filled with our usual bickering and arguing, our voices echoing around the room. Our relentless banter eventually came to a halt when Lucius' bodyguards entered the office.
