After a year of tireless hard work, determination, and perseverance, I proudly announce that I have successfully completed college, being named valedictorian of my class.
I wholeheartedly thank Lucius for his unwavering support, companionship, and for being by my side through the highs and lows.
Despite occasional disagreements between us, due to my stubbornness at times, Lucius consistently demonstrates understanding and lowers his pride. Over time, he has transformed, no longer displaying overly possessive behavior towards me.
Instead, he offers reassurance and consistently refrains from instigating my overthinking tendencies.
I now work at Lucius' company as his personal assistant once more. I occasionally run into Caeus, Shanz, and Lucas there, although I notice Stella tending to avoid me. Nevertheless, I don't push the issue.
My father continues to be in a coma, but he receives care from Doctor Vanessa. I occasionally visit him, along with my stepmother.
Grace inherited her father's company and assumed the role of CEO, and we stay in touch and go out together whenever our hectic schedules allow.
I work closely with Lucius, handling various tasks and assignments. He still calls me into his office occasionally, just to have a chat and maybe steal a few kisses when no one else is around.
I was just leaving the hospital after visiting my father when I suddenly bumped into someone familiar.
"Laoise?" he called out.
"Xandre?" I responded, recognizing him.
"It's been a while. How have you been?" he inquired.
"I'm good. Excuse me, I have to go now." I forced a smile, wanting to keep the conversation short.
With that, I quickly headed toward my car, hoping to end the encounter.
I cursed my luck as I approached my car, only to discover that the tires were flat.
"Kapag minamalas ka nga naman.." i mumbled
Just then, I heard footsteps behind me, and a familiar voice spoke up.
"Need help?"
"No, thank you." I stood up and turned to face Xandre, replying firmly,
But he wasn't taking no for an answer.
"No, I insist," he stated, picking up his phone and dialing a number.
"They'll take care of fixing your car within the next 30 minutes," he informed me.
"Would you like to join me for a cup of coffee at the nearby cafe and catch up?" He then extended an invitation,
Reluctantly, I agreed, and soon we found ourselves seated at a table in the cozy coffee shop near the hospital. As I took a sip of my coffee,
"So, this is your treat, right?" I jokingly asked
"Of course, who else's would it be?" He chuckled and replied
"Naninigurado lang" i joking said and chuckled
We sat in silence for a few moments, sipping our coffees and eyeing each other cautiously.
