Enid's POV:

"There," I mumbled, as I finished bucking her into her car seat.
I kissed her head, then backed away to close the car door.

"Ready?" I heard Wednesday ask from behind me.

"Mhm!" I answered, as I reached for the handle to my door. She beat me to it though, pulling it open and signalling for me to get in. "What a gentle woman." I teased, as I sat down in my seat.

"Shut it," she muttered, before slamming the car door.

"What's your deal?" I asked, as she sat down in the driver seat.

"Nothing, I'm just not looking forward to this trip,"

"Why not? It's your family,"

"You wouldn't be happy if I planned a trip to go see your family,"

"Yeah, but that's different. My parents disowned me."

"I wouldn't be entirely upset if mine disowned me as well." she muttered, as she reversed out of our driveway.

"Wednesday!" I exclaimed, while smacking her thigh.

"What?"

"Don't say stuff like that, you and I both know you love your family. You even said you would do anything to protect them."

"That was before we had Evelyn, now I only think about you and her. I suppose if there was a time where they were all in danger I would go do something, but their all old enough to protect themselves."

"I'm old enough to protect myself."

"I'm aware, but after what happened with Tyler, I don't think I'll ever be able to go back to being able to leave you alone and not be nervous about what could happen." I hummed, before placing my hand back on her thigh. "Also, they aren't my main family anymore. You two are. They also don't live under the same roof as me anymore, which means their problems don't entirely concern me."

"I guess that makes sense." I responded, before turning to look out the window.

"You can go to sleep love, I'll be fine."

"No, it's okay. I'm not super tired right now." she nodded, before taking her right hand off the wheel to interlock it with the hand I had on her leg. "What time does it say we should be there?"

"Around 4:30,"

"I'd say we left at the perfect time."

"Mhm,"

"Are you sure your not tired? I mean I could drive for you." I asked, while watching her eyelids droop.
I feel so bad for her, I know she's tired. Evelyn never wakes me up. It's always her, I've always wondered why she does that. Maybe because she knows Wednesday will get up the first time she calls for her, or maybe because she just likes her better. Either way, I'm hoping she stops soon.

"I'm fine, angel." she answered, as she forced her eyes open.
I nodded, as I turned around to glance at Evie.
She's reading the Enola Holmes book series, at 3!! When I was three, I was still playing with my imaginary friends.

"Mama?"

"Hmm?"

"Your staring." she mumbled, while peering over the top of her book.
Wednesday started softly laughing at what she said, as I was still sitting in shock.

"S-sorry..." I said, while slowly turning back around.
I turned to look at Wednesday, and she was smiling ear to ear. "Sounds like you," I teased, now giggling myself.

"Mummy?" Evie called for Wednesday.

"Yes?"

"What's the meaning of the word peculiar?"

"The first definition is Strange or odd; unusual, and the second is Particular; special." Wednesday replied, without even having to think about the question asked.
How did both of them turn out incredibly smart, and then there's me.

"Tank you," I'm glad that even though she has a wide vocabulary, she still sounds like a baby. I'm not ready for her to grow up.

"Evie,"

"Yes Mummy?"

"How about you take a break on the books? You and your mother can play a game, or we can just talk."

"Otay, how much longer until we get there?"

"An hour and 30 minutes."

"What did you and Auntie Yoko do yesterday?" I asked, while looking at her through the rear view mirror.

"We watched movies"

"That sounds fun,"

"Yeah," she said, while yawning.

"You can go to sleep honey, i'll wake you up when we get there." the tired child nodded, before slowly closing her eyes.
Not long after we could hear quiet snores coming from the back seat.

"Doesn't it bother you just a bit that she looks and acts like me most of the time?" Weds asked, out of the blue.

"Not really, that just means we have to have another one so we're even."

"What would you do if we had another girl, and she looked like me as well."

"I wouldn't be mad, I mean your face isn't that bad to look at." I joked, making her glare at me.

"I'm aware, I catch you staring frequently."

"I can't help myself, it's just like how I catch you staring at my ass every chance you get."

"I suppose that's a good point, your ass is a sight to see."

"Your lucky Evelyn isn't awake, because if she was I would have smacked you."

"You should know by know that I probably would enjoy that."

"Because your fucking kinky," I teased.

"I am not, I just enjoy pain."

"That's a kink, baby."

"Whatever," she said, as her cheeks turned a dark shade of pink.
