Enid's POV:

I feel Wednesday shift next to me, mumbling something on the side of my neck.

"What?" I softly question, while turning to face her.

"Yoko left," She mumbled, her eyes still closed.

"Could you hand me my phone?" She hummed, as she reached behind her to grab my phone off the table. "Thanks," I unlocked my phone, clicking on Yoko's contact. Straight to voicemail.
"She's not answering her phone,"

"She probably just needed some time alone, if she's not back in 30 minutes I'll go look for her."

"You're probably right," I replied, while laying my head back down on the thin pillow.
They moved us into a room with two beds, Wednesday and I on one and Evelyn on the other.
Tomorrow-well today- is Evelyn's fourth birthday, and she's not even going to be awake for it. We're also planning on her not being awake for Christmas. Wednesday's family was supposed to be coming down to spend Christmas with us, but now they're coming to visit their hospitalized grand daughter. This was not something on my 2024 bingo card.

"Enid," Wednesday softly said, while shaking me.

"What?" I groaned, swatting at her arms.

"I'm gonna go check on Yoko," She started, "It's been an hour since she left, and I'm a bit concerned,"

"Okay, text me when you find her. Please?"

"Mhm," she hummed, before grabbing her phone and walking out of the room.

Wednesday's POV:

I walked out in to the lobby, being surrounded by absolutely nothing.
We had Enid's dad bring our car when he came in to check on Evelyn earlier, so I could go drive around if I need too. Yoko did have access to her car.... Maybe we should've taken her keys.

"Do you need anything Miss?" One of the nurses asked, while setting her clipboard back inside the cubby on the door she was by.

"Have you seen a girl about my age, 5'5, long black hair?" I question, as I pull my car keys out of my back pocket.

"Uhm Yeah, she left the building about an hour ago... Is everything okay?" she replied, as she walked toward me.

"Yes, I was just wondering where she went." I lied, I waited for her to walk away before walking towards the nearest exit.

"Did you find her?" Enid sleepily asked, when I called her from my car.

"No, one of the nurses said she left the building. I'm going to go check her house."

"Okay, just please keep me updated. She's not in the right state of mind right now to be out by herself."

"I will, just go back to sleep. I'm sure everything's fine. I'll see you when we get back, love you."

"Love you too!" She softly exclaimed, before hanging up.
I pulled into the driveway of the Tanaka home, noting the fact that all the downstairs lights are on. I grabbed my spare key out of the glove box of my car, and got out of my car. I slowly walked up to the door, and placed my key in the lock.

"Yoko?" I called out, no answer. Something did catch my eye though... a piece of paper, laid strategically on the island in the kitchen. "Holy shit," I mumbled, not even making it through the first sentence of the letter before I had to place it back down.
I turned around only to be met with what I feared the most that I would see.
Yoko. Hanging from the ceiling fan, a picture of all of us displayed on her phone screen...I remember that photo, it was the day she tricked me into smiling. Her 21st birthday, she's been talking about how much she loves that photo like the past three months.

"Oh Yoko..." I murmured, as tears started to stream down my cheeks.
I turned away to do what she asked, the one thing I can do is make sure this letter gets to Enid.

"Enid I need you to listen to me," I sternly said, trying to hold everything in.

"W-what's wrong?"

"I need you to promise me you won't do anything until I'm there with you."

"Why? What happened?"

"Enid! I just need you to tell me you won't do anything irrational!"

"O-okay, I promise." she replied, confusion lacing her voice.

"Darling, Yoko... she uhm left a letter, For us."

"What does it say?"

"To whoever finds this first, I'm assuming you're one of the Addams, and if not please call them they should be the first to know about my conditions. Enid, please don't think this is you're fault. Because it's not. Just know that I love you so so much, and If it wasn't for these circumstances I would be taking Evelyn to the park today. I promised her I would, for her fourth birthday. When she wakes up please take her, tell her it was Auntie Yoko's last wish...Wednesday, Please be there for Enid. Don't ever leave her side, she loves you more than anything on this earth, and you two will need each other more than ever these next few weeks. I'm so sorry Divina caused this all, if I would've known sooner this all could've been prevented. But I didn't know, and I let it happen right in front of my eyes. Please tell Evelyn that I love her, and that I'll always be there for her. And Wends, I know I don't tell you enough, but I really love and appreciate you. If it wasn't for you Enid wouldn't be here right now, and if it wasn't for you I wouldn't of been able to meet the sweetest child on this planet. Don't ever forget about how lucky you are to have them, and how lucky they are to have you. Always, and forever...Yoko." I could hear Enid's quiet sobs on the other side of the phone, as I finished reading the letter too her.

"Wednesday what did she do?"

"Enid-"

"What did she do?"

"She....she hung herself from the living room ceiling fan Enid. S-she's gone."
