Enid's POV:

This car ride has been painfully quiet, Wednesday nor I have said a word and it's taking everything in me not to say something.
Wednesday beat me to it though.

"You can speak Enid, I can tell you want to." she mumbles, while glancing over at me. The first thing that catches my eye is the bruise across her cheek, how are we going to explain that to Evelyn?

"Does it hurt?"

"Does what hurt?"

"Your cheek," I answer, as I reach out to brush my fingers across the purple mark.

"I've had worse," she replies, before looking back at the road.
We'll be home in 10 minutes, and I can't wait to go to bed. I think this weekend has been the most excitement we've had in the past three years.
"Did you send your dad our address?"

"I forgot," I said, as I grabbed my phone from the cup holder.  "Okay, now he knows where we live." I giggled, while looking back over at Wednesday.

"How many younger brothers do you have?" she questioned, before grabbing the hand I had resting on the center console.

"3, one's 8, one's 13, and the other is 15." I answered.

"How long do you think they'll be staying with us?"

"Maybe 2 or 3 months, I'm not really sure." she nodded, as she rolled down her window to type in the code for the gate around our house. I watched as the door slowly swung open, and the car started to move forward.

"Wednesday?"

"Yes, love."

"What are you gonna tell Evie about your face?"

"Someone got in my way, and I put them in their place."

"Like she's going to believe that,"

"She believes everything I say, I'm sure if I told her that I've seen a pink unicorn she'd believe me." Wednesday deadpanned, as she pulled the suitcase out of the trunk.

"Look Evie, Your Mothers are home!" Yoko called, while pulling the front door open.

"What happened to your face?" Divina asked, as she greeted Wednesday.

"We'll tell you in a bit," I mumbled, before getting practically tackled by my three year old.

"Mama!!"

"Hey Evelyn, How was your weekend?" I asked, picking up the little child.

"Great! Although I did miss you and mommy."

"We missed you too angel."

"What happened to your face mommy?" Evie asked, when I passed her off to Wednesday.

"Someone decided to get in my way, so I put them back in their place." she answered, while glancing over at me.

"Oh, are you okay?"

"Yes mi hija I'm fine."

"Okay..."

"Evelyn, why don't you go play for a bit so we can talk to auntie Yoko and Divina."

"Okay Mama." and with that we were alone with Yoko and Divina again.

"Care to explain what the fuck happened to your face? I thought I told you to try not to get hurt." Yoko asked, before crossing her arms over her chest.

"Xavier had other plans." Wednesday muttered, as she placed her jacket on the hook by the front door.

"Xavier?"

"He tried to rape her earlier," I softly answered, like it wasn't a big deal at all.

"He what!?" Divina exclaimed.

"Where were you?" Yoko asked, pointed at me. She seems... Angry?

"It was at dinner, Enid didn't know anything was happening. Please don't yell at her, she's already gotten her fair share of that today." Wednesday said, while walking back over to us.

"Wait so what happened exactly?" Divina asked.

"I went to the bathroom and he followed me, it seemed like he was high. And honestly that wouldn't surprise me. He tried to rape me, but I broke his nose and ended up getting away. I'm fine."

"Are you sure, because your face says otherwise."

"I'm fine Yoko."

"Okay... I'm just trying to keep both of you alive. I don't have enough time to raise a child, especially not a mini Wednesday."

"We appreciate it Yolks." I said, while reaching my arms out. Yoko practically crushed me, I guess she missed me? "Okay you're like suffocating me."

"Sorry," She giggled, while stepping away from me.

"Go get some rest, we'll see you two tomorrow."

"Goodnight!" I exclaimed, while watching the couple walk out of the front door.

"Love you bitches!" Yoko replied, before shutting and locking the door.

"She's insane." Wednesday muttered, before walking over to pull the suitcase up the stairs.
I can tell she's in pain, but she's not going to say anything.
I guess I'll just have to try and get her to sit down myself.
