~Thirty-Seven~

Enid's POV:

"Wednesday," I mumbled one last time, as I removed my hand from her face.
I thought I was hallucinating when I head a big gasp, and soft cries.

"Enid?" she cried out, part of me is nervous to touch her, but the other is really wanting to reach out to her. And I do. 
Her head meets my shoulder, as my arms wrap around her trembling body.

"Please don't leave me," she mumbled, once her body had stopped shaking and her tears had stopped flowing.

"Wednesday look at me," I mumbled, while softly pushing her body away from mine.
Her eyes slowly made their way to my face, as she wiped the tears from her cheeks. "I'm never going to leave you, you're stuck with me. And in the case that I die first, I will come back to haunt you. You're never going to get rid of me. Okay?" I said, while playing with the end of one of her braids. 

"I'm sorry," she softly said, as her gaze averted back to her lap.

"For what, love?"

"For calling you dramatic, I really didn't mean to upset you. I was just jealous." she answered, as she sniffled.
I've never heard Wednesday admit she was just being jealous before, I guess we're getting somewhere.

"No, I'm sorry. You had every right to be mad at me. You took me somewhere nice, and I practically ignored you the whole time. I was an absolute bitch." 

"You were, and I was thoroughly upset." she answered, as more tears slipped down her cheeks.

"And I'm sorry, but I would really like you to tell me what just happened." 

"I... don't know what happened, all I know is that I never want to go back there." she answered, as her body shuddered. 

"What was the vision about?" I asked, while helping her off the floor. 

"Can we talk about this later? I would appreciate a moment that's not an exact portrayment of hell."

"Of course," I replied, before leaning in to kiss her head. "Come get me when your ready." 

Wednesday's POV:

I'm scared.
I've never openly admitted something like that before, but I truly am terrified. 
I'm still trying to figure out a way to get out of telling Enid what my vision was about, but I know I'm not going to get out of it. And she deserves to know. 

"Mommy!" I jumped at the sound of my daughter calling out for me, these next few days are going to be hell. I've never been this jumpy before, and I hate it. 

"Hello love, how was the park?" I mumbled, trying to distract myself from the future I just saw for my family.

"It was so fun! Uncle fester scared away all the other kids so I could play on everything without having to wait!" she exclaimed, as a bright smile struck her features. Instead of saying anything back, I pulled her body closer to mine. Engulfing her in a hug. "What's wrong mommy?"

"Nothing angel, just missed you. That's all."

"Hey sis," Pugsley said, as I released Evelyn from my grip. 

"Hello Pugsley," I answered, while watching her walk to Enid. 

"Are you okay?" he asked, his brows furrowing in worry.

"Yes," 

"You don't look it," I know Pugsley isn't stupid, and he knows what happened. I just would rather not admit to more than one person that I feel like my world is about to be torn apart. And the one person is me. 

"I'm fine." 

"Okay..." he said, before walking off. 

"Wednesday?" 

"Yes Mother?" why is it all of a sudden that everyone wants to talk to me?

"Can we talk?" I huffed, while turning to follow her to her bedroom.

"What is it?" I questioned, when she closed the door to her room.

"I lied to Enid," 

"You what?!" 

"She called when you went into your vision, and was frantic. I just didn't want to tell her you were... I guess you could say, getting a warning." 

"What did you tell her?" 

"I told her you were being shown your worst fears, not the future." 

"It might as well have been my worst fears." I mumbled, while shifting my gaze to the floor.

"What did you see?" 

"Beatrice, Bianca Barclay's younger sister, kidnapped Evelyn in attempt to get revenge on us for killing her sister." saying that out loud makes it much, much worse.
