Enid's POV:
I'm sitting at the kitchen table, putting together a puzzle with my youngest brother and Evelyn. But for some reason my eyes keep wandering over to where Wednesday and Yoko are sitting, something seems off.
"You okay Enid?" Divina asked, as she placed a glass of water in front of me.
"Yeah, just lost in thought." I mumbled, while softly smiling.
"You sure?"
"Mhm!" I hummed, hoping she would just forget about it. "Could you excuse me for a moment? I need to go talk to Wednesday."
"Go ahead," Divina answered, before putting another puzzle piece in place.
I walked over to the living room, and leaned over her shoulder. My mouth at her ear."Can we talk?" I whispered, making her turn to face me. Her gaze shifting between my eyes and my lips.
"Is everything okay?" she asked, as she stood up from the couch. Barely glancing back at Yoko, as she walked towards me.
"I'm not sure," I mumbled, looking at the floor as I walked toward the back porch.
"What's wrong?" Wednesday questioned, as she shut the back door.
"I was going to ask you the same thing," I watched as her body tensed, and her gaze fell to the floor. "Wednesday?"
"You know the noise Evelyn heard last night?"
"Yeah, what about it?"
"It was my stalker, I got a call this morning when I got out of the shower." she murmured, a guilty look on her face.
"Okay, what has you so bothered though? Normally you could care less."
"Enid... I think Divina's my stalker." She said, finally making eye contact with me.
"What? Wednesday that's insane."
"Trust me, I know." she said, "But it would make sense, I mean the pictures and everything else. She knows practically everything about us. And I tracked the call I got this morning, and it came from their house. I also found a voice changer in her jacket this morning."
"It can't be, maybe it's Kent? Yoko told me he was staying there for the week." I just can't seem to imagine Divina doing anything like that, she's just too... nice.
"Darling," she softly said, before that backdoor opened. Revealing exactly who we were talking about.
"Hey, sorry if I'm interrupting. Yoko and I have to go, something about going to eat dinner with my brother." Divina said, while leaning on the door frame.
"Okay, see you tomorrow." I said, as my hands grew clammy. Could it really be her? Have I really been letting my daughter around someone that's been threatening her life since day one?
"Bye!" she exclaimed.
I watched as she shut the door, before turning to face Wednesday again."We have to talk to Yoko," I mumbled, making her meet my gaze again.
"Do you really want to do that?" She started, "You and I both know no matter what she's going to defend Divina, it's no use. All it's going to do is make Yoko mad at you, and I don't want that."
"We could ask if she knows of Divina having two numbers, or a separate phone, or if she's been distant lately." I suggested, but Wednesday's expression didn't change.
"Enid, this isn't something that just started. I've had my stalker since we started senior year, which means if she did show any sings, they're long gone."
"What else can we do then? Because if we have no concrete proof then it's kind of hard to believe that it's her."
"I'll find something, but until then I don't want Evie alone with her again. It's clear my stalker is after her, and I would never be able to forgive myself If something bad happened to Evelyn." Wednesday said, while messing with her fingers.
"Okay, but what are going to tell her when she asks to see them?"
"She can see Yoko, but not Divina. Which is why we really need to figure out how to get Yoko to believe us."
"What were you talking with her about earlier?" I asked, as I watched her look into the house through the window.
"I was asking her who she thinks my stalker is, she suggested Xavier. And yes, he was stalking me at one point, but this isn't him. It's not the same number as before, it's new. She also suggested Tyler, but I know it's not him either. He seems too busy with his own life to give a shit about mine."
"Do you really think it's Divina?"
"Why else would she have a voice changer in her pocket Enid?" I sighed as I put my head in my hands.
"I don't know" Wednesday placed her hand on my lower back, pulling me closer into her.
"It's okay, we'll figure this all out."
"But what if we don't?"
"That won't happen."
