Enid's POV:

My whole world just shattered in front of me.

"Enid?" Wednesday softly questioned, after I went silent.

"I-"

"I know, I- uhm notified the police, they're on the way. Did you want... me to come get you?"

"I just want everything to go back to how it was," I cried, covering my face with my hands.

"I know darling, I know." She coed, "I'm on my way back to the hospital okay? I just need you to keep talking to me until I get there."

"O-okay," I mumbled, while sniffling.

"How does your head feel? Does it still hurt?" She asked, recalling me complaining about a headache earlier today.

"It feels like hell," I replied, chocking down sobs.

"That's what I thought." she said, her voice slightly wavering. "It's not your fault, Enid."

"I know," I mumbled in response, "I just wish she would've came to me, I would've done anything to make her feel better." I cried, recalling being told these same words not to long ago.

"I know love, but knowing Yoko, she most likely didn't want to feel like a burden to us. She thought it would be better this way."

"Why do bad things happen every time our lives get good? Nothing ever goes right," I murmured, while listening to Wednesday's irregular breathing.

"I don't know," she finally replied, after a long pause.

"I can't go on like this, I-I can't just keep waiting for the day that everything comes crumbling down."

"Enid-"

"Wednesday, if Evelyn doesn't wake up from this. I-I don't think I'll be able to continue....living."

"I understand, and I agree with you. But I really need you to have some faith in her, she's going to be okay. We will get through this, together." Wednesday replied, in attempts to calm me down.

"Are you almost here? I just really need a hug."

"I'm walking in now," She answered, before opening the door the our room. "Come here," she said, while opening her arms.
I got off the bed, and practically fell into her arms. My body trembling.

"It's okay, we're gonna be okay." she mumbled, as she softly rubbed my back.
After a few minutes my breathing began to slow, and I felt my eye lids begin to droop.

"Enid?"

"Mhm?"

"Can you look at me please?" I slowly picked my head up off her shoulder, and made eye contact with her. "Enid, I need you to promise me you won't try anything."

"What do you mean?" I softly questioned, my voice hoarse from crying.

"Promise me you won't hurt yourself, or try to leave. I need you. I can't raise Evelyn without you by my side...I won't be able to live without you here, with me."

"I promise, I don't think I'd be able to do it. I can't leave you behind, especially not now." I replied, while glancing back at our baby. Resting 'peacefully' on her bed.
Wednesday nodded, as she slid her arms up my back.

"let's get some rest."

"Okay," she led me over to the bed, before laying down on her back. Pulling me down onto of her. She played with my hair, until I fell asleep. Maybe when I wake up things will be better...
