3rd person's pov

Soobin sighed heavily as he trekked through the snow covered woods, following behind him was Taehyun and several other of their bosses men. The two of them had been anxious about being in this area, something in Soobin's gut told him that Jae wasn't too far away and it scared him. He didn't want her to be found, neither did Taehyun which meant that they were going to have find a way to steer the men out of the area. He looked over his shoulder at Taehyun, who was too busy thinking to himself to notice Soobin's look. When he turned back around, there was a loud sound that echoed throughout the snowy forest. It was in the opposite direction of the cabin that Jae, her soulmates and Hyunjin were inhabiting. "What was that?" One of men questioned, everyone coming to a stop. "Sounded like a wolf.." The man in charge stated, "You think it's a hybrid?" Another man asked, 'It could be." Another howl sounded and a loud scream followed, "That could be the boss's daughter. What do you think, Ben?" The man standing to Soobin's left asked, Ben thought for a moment and then nodded. "Let's go check it out. And let's be quick about it. We don't know if that's the boss's daughter, or it is, we need to make sure we bring her back alive and unharmed." Ben said. Soobin looked over at Taehyun, they both had a look of relief on their faces but they were genuinely concerned about the screams they heard. Yoongi stared down at the group of men, watching them as they left. He noticed Soobin and Taehyun who stood out from the rest of the men, something about the two of them made him think they were different. It made him think that they weren't a threat but his panther half thought otherwise, he didn't trust them. Soobin hung back a bit, letting Taehyun catch up with him and the two started talking lowly as the other men moved ahead. Taehyun got a weird feeling that they were being watched which made him slightly nervous, but he chalked it up to it just being a wild hybrid that was looking out for any threats to them. With the group of men they were with, it was safe to say, they were a threat to the Wild hybrids in the area. Soobin and Taehyun had no interest in catching wild hybrids, nor did they want to bring them harm. Rather, they just wanted to make sure Jae would be okay.

"Soobin hyung, that scream wasn't Jae.. But we can't let them know that. I have a feeling that someone might be watching us." Taehyun whispered.

"What makes you think that someone's watching us, Taehyun?"

"I don't know, Hyung... I just have this weird feeling we are being watched. Most likely by a wild hybrid that lives in this area."

"I hope that whatever it is can tell we aren't looking to harm them. We don't even want to take Seo-Jae back to her father.." Soobin stated, Yoongi listened closely to their conversation.

"They know Seo-jae... Sounds like they don't like her father either." Yoongi thought.

"If we find her out here, we're gonna need a plan to get her away from those men. No matter what consequence we face for it, there's no way I'm letting Ben and his men take Jae back that prison our boss calls a home." Soobin stated.

"Yeah, I got a plan. Let's catch up before they get suspicious." Both Taehyun and Soobin walked away, Taehyun started explaining his plan to Soobin.

When they disappeared out of sight, Yoongi waited until they were out of earshot to jump down from the tree. Hoseok came trotting over, picking up the scent of the group that was just in the area. The men were headed North of the cabin, which was great for the main group as it was farther away from them. This meant there was less of a chance of finding the cabin and Jae."Hyung, were those his men?" Hoseok asked, tilting his head as his tail swung slowly. "Yes.. They're no longer headed towards the cabin which means we have time to start moving. Two of the guys, Soobin and Taehyun were their names.. They know Jae, they also seem intent on making sure Jae doesn't go back to her father." Yoongi explained, "They must be her friends.." Hoseok said, "Come on, we need to get back now before they have a chance to come back this way." Yoongi stated, "Alright," With that the two headed back towards the cabin, where everyone was waiting anxiously.

Jin stared out the window, hoping that Yoongi and Hoseok were alright. All of them were ready to leave, though, Jungkook was upset about leaving. He had grown to love the cabin they had called home for a few years, they had happy memories here. And made even more new ones with Seo-jae, now they were going to have to leave it behind to keep her safe. Seo-Jae's fever had gone down but she was exhausted, her body wasn't ready to go on a long journey. At the moment, Jimin had her bundled in warm clothing to keep her from freezing while they were traveling. They had bags packed with clothing, food, and things they needed for hygiene and survival. Seo-jae was curled up on the couch, holding onto the baby pink blanket that Jin had given her. The clothing that she had on belonged to Yoongi, it helped mask her scent from other hybrids. As it was stated before, Yoongi's scent was the strongest one out of all of them. Since Seo-Jae's body was protesting against her, the boys were going to have to alternate between carrying her as they traveled until she was strong enough to walk on her own. She leaned against Jungkook, who was sitting next to her while Felix stood in the corner. He was healing well but with the amount of injuries he had, he was starting to feel the strain on his body. Namjoon grabbed the last of the bag, bringing it out of his room, and looked over at Jin. He hadn't been on the best of speaking terms with Jin since their argument the day before, but he worried for his mate. Jin perked up as Yoongi and Hoseok appeared coming towards the cabin in their hybrid forms, they had shifted back and made sure that their tracks couldn't be found. When they walked in the door, Jungkook was the first person to greet them with heavy scenting and hugs. He had been worried about them since the men were in the area, he didn't want them to be found out while on patrol. "We're okay, Kook." Hoseok hugged Jungkook, who held him tightly. He could sense Jungkook's distress in the bond, everyone else was feeling it as well.

"How is it out there?" Namjoon asked.

"They headed away from the cabin, they heard a commotion far away and went to check it out. There are two guys by the names of Soobin and Taehyun, they were traveling with the group." Yoongi said, "Soobinie and Hyun?" Jae spoke softly, turning eyes on her. "You know them?" Jimin asked, "They're my friends. Are they alright?" She looked at Yoongi, "They seemed fine. They're hellbent on making sure those men they are with don't find you. It seems the last thing they want is you to be taken back to your father." Yoongi stated, Seo-Jae let out a soft sigh of relief and slid back onto the couch. The group could feel her anguish in the bond, it made Jungkook even more restless and it concerned Namjoon.

"If we want to leave, we need to do it now while they are farther away from the cabin." Hoseok suggested.

"We're ready to get going. I know the way, we need to head West of here. All our bags are packed and ready to go." Namjoon stated, Taehyung grabbed Seo-jae's hand and helped her stand up. "Let's get going," Jimin helped Seo-Jae onto Taehyung's back and the group headed out the door. Hoseok locked the door to the cabin behind them and they all headed West, hoping to reach Suho's place before the next week of bad weather came.
