The couple spent most of the weekend just making the most of some alone time. Marjorie may not have wanted to recreate their first date up on a hillside, but she had no problems doing it back at home after a few hours sleep Saturday morning. After yet another session Sunday afternoon, Marjorie was snuggled up to Reece, still admiring the ring on her left hand. "Are you ever going to stop looking at that thing?" Reece asked, chuckling to himself.

"I still can't quite believe it's real. I keep looking to make sure I'm not dreaming." She replied.

"Is that why you haven't told anyone yet?" He asked. "I was expecting you to have been calling and sending messages to the girls before we'd even got home."

"Well, I wanted to, but I think we need to tell Autimn first, and I think she should hear it in person. Her and Winter are coming over again for a double date tonight, so I thought we could tell them then."

"What time are they coming over?"

"About 6ish. Why?"

"Because it's 4:30 now gorgeous, so we'd better get up and get everything sorted." He laughed. "You know what my sister is like if I make you late for work. Can you imagine what she'd be like if she came round and found us here when you'd invited them over." As he said this, he slid his hand down her body and his lips connected with her neck. His fingers were just about to slide in to find out how wet she was when she pushed him off of her and said, "Good point. Get off. We'd better get a move on. Im going for a shower." Before pulling him in for a kiss and getting out of bed.

"Urrrggghhh." Reece let out a frustrated groan as he flopped back down on the bed. He looked up to watch Marjorie walk out of the room naked. "Do you want some company?" He asked, hopefully.

"We both know there will be no showering going on if you keep me company." She answered with a wink.

They were ready just in time. They didn't need to worry about food as Autumn and Winter were bringing a takeaway with them. There was a knock at the door. Marjorie took another glance down at the ring, Reece watched her and said, "I bet you Aut clocks it before you can say anything."

"No, she's got no reason to be looking that closely at my hands. Besides, I've always got rings on anyway, so it will probably just blend it at a quick glance."

Reece chuckled to himself knowing how observant Aut could be without the fact that since he'd told her he was going to ask, she probably would be checking everytime she saw Marjorie to see if it happened yet. The couple walked in. Winter gave Marjorie a hug and shook Reeces hand. Autumn following behind but with no such physical contact. As Marjorie hugged Winter, Autumn spotted it. "Marjorie? What's that on your left hand?"

Reece looked over at Marjorie and smirked an "I told you so" type of grin. Marjorie said "Yea we were waiting for you to come round to tell you in person. So your brother asked me to marry him on Friday night, and I said YES!!!!" Marjories voice had gotten louder throughout that sentence, and she practically squealed the last word, the excitements getting the better of her again as tears started forming in her eyes. Winter and Autumn congratulated the couple
Winter, very excited while Autumn was a lot more subdued. Reece went to the kitchen to sort out the food while Marjorie handed Autumn a glass of wine out of habit. You never saw Autumn at any form of gathering without a glass and was shocked when it was refused. "Autumn, are you OK? It's not like you to turn down wine. And you've not seemed yourself in work lately. Are you ill?"

Autumn and Winter shared a look. Winter narrowed his eyes slightly and nodded at his love. "Marjorie, I'm not ill." She began, taking a deep breath to prepare for the onslaught of emotions from her best friend. "I'm pregnant."

"Wait, what?"

'I'm pregnant,'

".....What?"

Winter interjected at this point, "To save you the bother Reece had when he was told, yes we're both very happy about it."

"You're having a b-baby?" Marjorie managed to stutter out between sobs. She was now crying even harder.

At this point, Reece walked back in with the food. He took one look at his fiance and asked, "Is she still crying at our news, or is this for yours now?"

Autumn looked up at her brother before saying, "Both, I think they met in the middle, and it's caused a malfunction."

Reece couldn't help himself and laughed at his little sisters last comment, earning him a punch in the arm from Marjorie. "Just because you two have padlocks on your brains and feelings doesn't mean the rest of us have to."

The couples sat on the sofas eating, a movie playing in the background and Autumn quizing Marjorie and Reece about the proposal, Marjorie showing some of the pictures as they talked but leaving out certain details, for obvious reasons. They talked a little about the pregnancy as well, although as it was still so early, there wasn't a lot to tell just yet. Autumn couldn't take her eyes off her brother and his new fiance. She'd never in her life seen Reece like this, even when they were teenagers. He couldn't keep his hands off Marjorie, not in a creepy way or a way that gave Aut the ick, in a really sweet way. He just seemed to need to be touching her as soon as she was close enough. Whether that was their legs touching under the table, him stretching one finger out from where his hand was resting on his leg just to lightly brush it against hers. He seemed to visibly relax as soon as he made any sort of contact with her. Now she really looked, they both seemed to do the same. Marjorie took the empty plates back to the kitchen and Reeces eyes followed her out of the room, once she had left they found their way back to Autumn and Winter but as soon as Marjorie reentered, they focused only on her until he was touching her again. Autumn also noticed that when Marjorie was talking, Reece looked at her in such a way that you would think whether or not the world continued to turn hinged on her words. Like everything in the world depended on what she was saying. Marjorie had sat back on the sofa next to Reece. Autumn watched as she leant back into Reece, and he put his arm around her. Part of Autumn wanted to vomit, but the other part of her was so happy her brother and best friend seemed to have found in each other something both hadn't had before. Someone that made them feel safe, calm, seen and most importantly, loved. She knew exactly how that felt, as that is what she'd found in Winter. Although, she could never be so openly physical and lovey dovey about it.
