C H A P T E R : 13

Nayna pov

Feeling so fresh for the day I couldn't help but smile. Maybe yesterday wasn't my day and I shouldn't be adamant over the fact that everyday should be perfect for me, when I already know it can never be.

Anyways I'm up for the new day and new challenges. I sat up on my bed and badly wanted to have a hearty breakfast-maybe banana pancakes with some nutella will do I guess.

I quickly got up from the bed and made myself a black coffee so that I can be energetic throughout the day.
I played music on my phone and swayed my hips to it's beat. God I feel so good now.

I was smiling to myself, embracing the fresh day and the sweet smell of my pancakes that just made my day.

Taking a bath for a good 15 minutes, I wore my favorite dress, a white blouse with a black pencil skirt that reached till my knees. I was drying my hair with the dryer while humming the song that I listened today morning.
Taking a final look at me, I grabbed my hand bag and my purse and headed my way to the place where I work for a living.

Stepping inside the company I couldn't help but feel edged because of the yesterday's event that replayed in my mind. I know that I might see Ms. Williams today at the company, but I think it will be better if I mind my own business.

Remembering the way I pledged myself, I walked in with a bold smile that played on my lips. I walked towards the elevator, my heels clicking at every steps I took forward and I couldn't help but greet my colleagues on the way and smile at them. Well, past is always a past and I shouldn't cling on it because it will destroy my present. But I heard someone calling my name from a distance.

I turned back and saw my best friend Noah, almost running towards me with a smile on his face. His dimples made him look cute and handsome and those blue eyes had a special glow in them. I smiled at him and gestured to walk fast because I don't want to miss my regular elevator.

We stepped inside along with some other people and stood alongside. Noah budged me on my shoulders and said in a whisper, "hope you're new and fresh for today. "

I smiled at him and said, "of course I'm".
Throughout the time we spent in elevator, the people got out one after the other at different floors leaving me and Noah alone. He seems realy optimistic just as me and I couldn't help but ask what's in his mind that he seems so delightful.

" May I know the reason behind this high energy optimism that you're sending off? "

I asked him curiously and that's the moment I heard the ding of the elevator indicating that we reached our supposed floor. He chuckled as we got out and said, "oh! It's just I won a voucher for a meal at Penta-stars restaurant yesterday. Since we already made a plan for a friendly dinner, I wonder if you could accompany me that day since it's for two."

Okay that's sudden. Still I made a promise and I don't feel anything, after all it's just a dinner and it won't cost anything to accompany him for a previously planned dinner. But the truth is, I just don't want to go to such a big restaurant to have a bite of food. Since he already won a voucher, maybe I should give it a chance. I smiled widely at him and said, "yeah, Friday after work maybe? "

"Yeah we can". He flashed a smile at me and opened the door of our department where we worked. I walked towards my cubicle next to Daeun which was empty. I sighed and kept my hang bag at the side and sat on my chair while switching on my laptop.

I opened my mails and checked for any new ones until I saw a reply for the mail I sent to Mr. Jeon yesterday - the explanation.

I sighed and decided to open it only to see a message that gave me a last warning perhaps. I didn't mind it much because if I go deeper into the events that happened yesterday, I might lose my mind again.
