Sitting in my cabin after denying her offer for a lunch, I don't know but to feel good, as if I did justice to someone special. It took me everything to persuade her to not expect me for such unprofessional things which is nothing but a burden to me.

I am well aware of the fact that she didn't like the idea and that's why she left way too early. I was in my world, doing my works, checking mails, signing the documents and doing the reviews. Lots of things were cooking up inside my cabin and I felt the urge to have caffeine inside my system because I was completely worn off.

Even though I could have asked my secretary to make me one, but I gave up the thought immediately when I realized I could meet her because as far as I know, she's a coffee person and would have atleast two coffees per day.
Determined to make an eye contact with her or if possible have a talk, I made my way towards the coffee counter.

On my way, I secretly eyed her cubicle and found her chair empty which gave a sense of satisfaction to me because the probability of a meet up is high. I walked towards the coffee counter, but was welcomed by a bunch of other employees which definitely made me a bit off.
I brought my tough self back, making sure to check every faces until it landed on a particular face whom I was checking for.

Indeed she's a most beautiful person I have ever seen, both in looks and from her heart. I have known her for quite some years and as far as my experience she never disappointed me in any way. Our past was a beautiful chapter in our lives but I wonder what happened between us? What made us drift apart to the point that we behave as mere strangers with each other?

Determined to make a small talk even if it is an official one, I led my way towards the coffee counter and was received by the greetings from employees to which I responded.

I walked past them only to stand next to Ms. Nayna and I definitely know that was courageous of me to do so. I wonder the hyperactive youth I was back in my college days when I used to flirt openly with my only frenemy Nayna, but things have changed quite a lot and since it's our working place I should maintain its decorum.

But I could easily guess that she's awestruck because of me standing next to her. I took a cup from the cup holder and washed it while asking, "hope the team is ready for the work with Williams".

She wiped her lips with her thumb and kept the cup on the table before replying, " Yes Mr. Jeon, We are".

I waited when the liquid was filling my cup as I said, "I know things have been quite difficult for the team to finish up one work within a week before jumping onto the next—" I paused in between as my cup was filled with the drink.

The sweet aroma of the fresh coffee filled my nostrils and I couldn't help but take a sip from the hot liquid as I looked directly into her eyes, those eyes which always made me weak yet feel things. We didn't remove our gaze from each other and that's when I said, "—right? "

She immediately looked away in embarassment as she stuttered, "y-yeah."

That's the only thing she could say, but I wanted her to speak further just to continue the talk, because the sudden urge to listen to her blabbers just like those days was filling up my mind to the point that I wanted to drag her from the office to our college premise where we failed to confess on our graduation day.

I just want to hug her and say how much I missed her and how her absence has got a big difference in my character too.
She might be committed to someone because it's been years and Noah makes it clear too, but I just want to make things clear with her.

I was at lost of words and her cold shoulder made things so awkward that I kept my cup on the table with a force such that a small amount of coffee was spilled on the table and said, "See Nay—"
