22. Our own happy place

Of course, we talked about it some more and we both agreed that it was time to live on our own. And of course, Haerin wasn't so happy about it.

She spent years without her sister and I understood that, I didn't want her to think that I was taking Minji away from her. But after some time she realized that Minji deserves to live her own life now.

It's been four months since we moved out and found our own place, Minji and I have gone down to business and now are waiting for the pregnancy test to show us the great news.

"How long will it take? I've been waiting hours!" Okay, Minji was definitely exaggerating but it's just so cute seeing her be so impatient. She went from pacing around the bathroom, to tapping her nails on the sink, checking the pregnancy test every five seconds.

I grabbed hold of Minji and sat her down on the toilet as I sat at the edge of the counter facing her. "Calm down will you? You're making me more anxious." I said and she let out a sigh. "I'm sorry baby, I'm just a little too excited and I'm just so impatient right now, I want to know already." By now she was whining.

I grabbed hold of her face and made her lay her head on my thighs. "Be a little more patient." I said now to a very distracted Minji who was kissing my exposed thighs and her hands were caressing my sensitive skin.

I smiled as I felt her hands creeping up, not today, Kim Minji! I smacked her hand off me and she let out a huff. She raised her head and looked at me, definitely a lot more calmer now.

"Let's talk to ease you out, I don't want you to faint." I said as I cupped her cheek. She let out a nod as she thought of something. "Let's talk about how we need to get a puppy! It'll surely bring love to our home." She said with a smile on her face which could only make me smile back at her.

"A puppy? Hm, I feel like that's right about it the thing we need. Plus, a little furry friend would be nice to have around to keep you occupied." I said and she gave me a nod as she beamed at me. I think I already have one child, and it's this big baby.

"I want to be able to make this place our own happy place, you know?" She asked as she looked a w with her puppy eyes. "I have an idea of what you mean. What do you have planned?" I asked and she looked at me with loving eyes. "A lot of things." She said as she gave me a dorky smile.

"First, I'm definitely going to repaint this place, I don't think I can stand the ugliest shade of green on this walls for much longer." She said and I let out a laugh. As I looked out to the bedroom. "Secondly, I will definitely have to learn how to become a plumber." She said and I could only pull her face towards my own. "The leakage is crazy." She said in a breathy laugh, I shook my head at her with a big smile.

"And you know damn well that I'm definitely going to need to patch up those holes on the roof. What did we even see in this apartment?" She asked with a giggle and I could only giggle back. The apartment may be falling apart but we both agreed on moving somewhere where we could make it our own.

Somewhere where we could start from zero and spend the time making this place our home. It'll take time but we're both up for it. Plus, we have a whole life time together.

"I already feel the body pain I'm going to get! I'll be all grandma like by the time I turn thirty." She said with a playful huff and I shook my head at her. She's one whiny woman. But it was adorable.

"Stop complaining, you were the one to convince me to get this place." I said mockingly and she let out another huff. " I thought it was a good idea at first. I just..didn't put much thought to how much work we'd have to actually do." She said scratching her chin. I squished her cheeks and she just let me, melting in to my touch.

How I love her.

The pad of my finger, moved across the soft of her skin. Until my fingers grasped at her hair and pulled her closer to me. "I love you." Minji let out some weird and hyper noise as she pulled away from me and just looked at me with heart eyes.

"I love when you say that, ugh! I wish you could say it to me every second of the day because I love you too! I love you so much." She said grabbing both my hands and kissing the back of them. A smile bright as the sun plastered on her face, threatening to blind me.

"I hope you know I'm joking, I'll never truly complain about any of this. This is what I've always wanted to be able to make a home ours. Even if this place would've looked like a five star hotel room, I would've asked you to renovate it. Because I don't care about how big or small, and how luxurious it is or isn't. All I care about is how much of us our home has, you know?" She asked , her fingers tabled with mine as she spoke.

I could only look at her beautiful brown eyes that expressed more than she ever managed to show. I gave her a nod and she continued to speak.

"I want us to put the work for the place we'll live in. Every little thing about this home has to have something of us. Like a some stands against the walls so I can showcase my Lego's." Minji said with a cute little smirk on her face.

Oh yeah, Minji has been making me help her build Lego's with her. And I honestly don't know how she has the patience to just try to connect all of those little pieces together. It drives me insane! Like I know there's a whole instruction book, but still. I'd prefer to rip my head off before actually building one by myself.

"Or we can have a whole closet filled with shoes? Sneakers?" Minji said as she went in to thought. I love shoes, I have my own little collection going on. "Doesn't sound so bad." I said as I gave her a quick peck on the lips.

Shoot! The pregnancy test!

I pulled away from her and reached out for the little stick that would either bring me happiness, or will shatter my world and make it crumble down along with me. I just hope it's the first option because I would literally cry if it's the second one.

Minji tried to peek as she saw my body become frozen. I didn't know whether to put the happiest smile on my face, or to just say it.

I'm pregnant.

I'm fucking pregnant!

Minji's eyes watched me closely as she tried to figure out what was happening. I could only look at her as tears formed in my eyes. Making her worry. She was about to say something but interrupted her before she could even ask me if I was okay.

"I'm pregnant." I whispered and I watched Minji's body freeze. Her eyes stared at me in disbelief. She gave me a weird and cute smile before she fell forward and knocked out.

She fainted again.

I love my loser.
