Hanni
I could feel my heart warming as Minji was playing around with Hyein. Running after her and purposely falling so that she could laugh. Minji has always been so good with kids, they love her without even knowing her.
"Minji! She's going to get hurt!" I yelled when I saw her tackle Hyein to the ground. At least they were playing in the grass, I wouldn't want to get an earful by Danielle. We were currently at the park as Haerin and Danielle went shopping with their other baby. Hyein decided to stay back with us because she just loved Minji so much, and also because she keeps thinking I'm Minji's girlfriend of some sort.
"She's fine! She's a tough one." Minji said as she once again tackled Hyein in to a hug as her laughter erupted from her. It was a cute sight.
"Come on! The food is served." I said and once hearing 'food' they both picked up their heads and looked at where I sat above the blanket and next to the food we had brought. And that's when they both started to fight and race to see who would make it first.
And next thing I knew Minji's face met the grass right next to me as Hyein reached my arms perfectly. I wrapped my arms around her as my eyes worriedly looked at Minji, who let out a groan as she started to sit up. Now she was all grumpy because she lost.
"You cheated!" Minji accursedly pointed at the girl in my arms who shook her head. "Did not!" Hyein said back. "Did so!" It was supposedly just one kid, which was Hyein, who's the 5'7 kid? "Whatever!" Hyein said as she nuzzled herself against me even more. Minji's eye twitched at the sight but shook her head.
Minji let out a huff as she stood up and sat next to me on the blanket. Hyein got off me and went to sit between us as we both started to serve her a plate. Hyein had came up with the bright idea of going out on a picnic, and it was the best thing ever.
"So, Minji's-not-girlfriend, will you say yes?" I looked at her confused and then up at Minji who thought the sky was looking real pretty as her gaze averted up. "What do you mean?" I asked and she shrugged as she took a big mouthful of rice.
Minji looked at me with an awkward smile as she softly jabbed Hyein's ribs with her elbow. Hyein let out a small whine and later huffed at her. "Anyway! Don't you guys think it's a very lovely day?" Minji asked trying to change the topic but I could only squint my eyes at her as Hyein answered her question.
Minutes after we fell in to a comfortable silence as we ate peacefully, just enjoying the view. "The view is beautiful." Minji said before taking a sip of her apple juice. And she was right, the sun was setting now, and I had the biggest love for sunsets, my eyes not daring to look away. I was about to pull out my phone when Hyein spoke making me freeze and look at Minji.
"The sunset or Hanni?"
Next thing I heard was Minji spitting out her apple juice and practically dying as she kept coughing. I looked at her with wide eyes as Hyein kept patting her back to try and help her.
Was she looking at me and not the sunset when she said that?
Hyein kept muttering a whole bunch of stuff that her little brain could think off as Minji started to calm down. "Minji, you suck at this!" I could only look at the two confused. "This is your chance and you're missing it!" Hyein said smacking her back a little harder than before. Making Minji let out a harder cough.
"You practically begged me to tell Hanni to go on a picnic with us because you knew she wouldn't say no to me, but she doesn't even know it's a secret date because you're just so bad at this! Just kiss her for my sake! Just smooch her pretty face like you said you wanted to!" Hyein said shaking her.
"Just tell her you love her and that you want her to be your girlfriend! What happened to the whole two hours of you rehearsing and pretending I was Hanni? She's not even that scary, she's just a bunny, a very small bunny with a little bit of temperament but that's fine!" Minji could only look at Hyein with shaking eyes as she tried to shush her.
"And don't get me started on how you keep talking about her nonstop like please, I know that she's gorgeous but you don't have to keep reminding me! I have eyes, you know?" Minji's eyes locked with mine in fear as Hyein towered over her.
I could only hold back my laughter as Minji kept trying to shush Hyein, who's being such a menace. And to be honest, I would say yes to Minji.
My bond with her became stronger, we grew close to each other once more. Our friendship was going better than I ever thought was possible. Everything with Minji was just going so well, it started to feel perfect and that I was finally following the actual path that was meant for me.
My feelings for her grew, I feel so in love with her. I just haven't had the proper time to tell her, I would want us to be alone and all but having Hyein exposing her has to be the funniest thing ever.
"Minji, if you don't do anything, I will physically make you kiss her!" She threatened and Minji shook her head at her in a begging manner. After she was finally done exposing and had some mercy on her poor aunt that looked like she was about to shit her pants, Hyein sat back down and turned to look at me. A little smirk on her cute face.
Oh, this little girl was ruthless!
"I'm the best wingman out there." And with that she stood up and went to play on the playground, leaving us both there in awkwardness.
"So...is this a date, Kim?" I asked breaking the tension and saw Minji gulp as she looked away from me. "You weren't supposed to know all of that! I specifically told her to not say anything or make it obvious about what this date-picnic was about but she just blurted out to the whole world, now what am I supposed to do..." Minji was so cute when she started to blabber.
Her eyes were wide as she tried to explain to me what Hyein was talking about. Her hands moved frantically in front of her and I could see how anxious she was now.
"She exaggerated!...well not really but that was over the top of exposure level. And about the whole kissing thing don't worry, I won't let her do such thing, it's not about just kissing you because if it was I would've just kissed you a long time ago but I can't just do that because you're not my girlfriend even though I want you to be..." Minji covered her mouth, realizing what she had said. She had that 'busted!' look on her face as she looked at me.
"Oh my god..I'm so.." and before she could finish her apology, I made sure of my decision and spoke up, interrupting her little blabber speech she was about to give me.
"I'll be your girlfriend." Minji's jaw met the ground as her eyes looked at me in disbelief. Minji suddenly gave me a wonky smile, which was very toothy and cute. And then she started to wobble side to side.
And next thing I saw was Minji fold in half as she fainted, falling face first.
