Y/n Cordelia Granger lived a happy but simple life in the suburbs of London with her parents and younger sister, Hermione, until her 11th birthday. As the day's sun beamed overhead, the young girl was covered in its light that glimmered with the pro...

Things in the Gryffindor common room were tense once again though peculiarly it had nothing to do with the serial killer on the loose, slipping past suspicion like smoke. No, rather, it had to do with Hermione and Ron's latest quarrel that everyone else had to suffer through.
After Y/n and George's secret heart-felt exchange of gifts, Y/n snuck back to the sanctity of her bed in the Ravenclaw dorms where everyone else remained peacefully asleep. She joined all of Hogwarts —except George who was awake and jotting things down in the journal she'd given him— back in slumber.
Hours later when the sun rose over the horizon and its rays started to peek into the windows and shine behind the closed eyelids of the snoozing students, the festivities of the merry day had begun. Clumps of students, friends, and family alike huddled in different secluded areas in their common room and excitedly opened their presents. The Weasley's, Hermione, and Harry sat near the fireplace as they unwrapped theirs.
For Hermione, Y/n had spent months tracking down the first edition copy of her favorite magic informational book at the time. It hadn't been easy by any means nor was it the most inexpensive book she'd ever bought, but the light that she knew would appear in Hermione's eyes as her hands ran over the worn cover and flicked through the aged pages would more than make the effort worth it.
For Ron, Y/n had gotten a few chocolate frogs as well as a bright, Chudley Cannons adjacent, orange book that had hundreds of empty pockets inside with protective film over each one for him to display his collectible cards of famous Witches and Wizards. It was a vast improvement from the old shoe box he'd been keeping them in and he spent most of the morning organizing his cards into the book just how he wanted.
For Harry, Y/n gave him a few things. One was a letter, long and personal with each curled letter spelling out reassurance and support sealed carefully away from other prying eyes inside an envelope. At the bottom of the letter, rested the address of the Granger house and without any explanation for them needed he knew they were reminders that he could always come to them. Along with that, there was a picture of Harry as a first year standing next to Ron and Hermione. On the back, the simple message, "You are loved :)" accompanied it.
For Fred, she'd gotten a host of prank supplies from Zonkos. Some she happened to know they were running low on and some that she knew they'd been eyeing all year, but shied away from whenever they saw the price tag. However, they were all given with the promise that they wouldn't use any of them against her which she knew they would keep if for no other reason than George Weasley. The journal she'd given him, real leather casing, gold lock, and all would stay between the two of them.
For Ginny, she gave her a list of all her personal favorite spells and instructions teaching how to perfectly cast them including the Bat Bogey Hex in the face of pompous dickheads like Marcus Flint. The glimmer that sparked in the young girl's eyes when she saw the list screamed mischief and had Y/n been in the Gryffindor common room to see it she would've been as proud as lioness with a cub.
