~ 17: Push-Ups ~

The summer training for Class 1-A began before the students knew it. The class got blown onto the ground below them by one of the cat hero's quirks.

"Since it's private land, you can use your quirks as you wish! You have three hours max!" The cat hero, Mandalay, called down to them. "Come to the facility on your own two feet! After getting through... The Beasts Forest!"

Gon could barely contain the itch to fight. Before anyone could step foot into the forest, Mineta zipped past the class, needing to go to the bathroom. He was actually holding it in about halfway through the bus ride. But before he could find a spot to do his business, something blocked his way. He looked up to see a big, large figure tower over him. "It's... a beast!"

Gon immediately ran up to the creature and punched it as hard as he could. The beast's stomach exploded, liquid gushing out everywhere as it flew backwards at an incredible speed, crashing through many trees on its way.

Class A's mouths were agape at the immense strength Gon had. Should we even try fighting these now?!

"Looks like I made a path for us to follow," Gon said, pointing at the area clear of trees where the beast had just flown through. "Come on guys! We have a time limit, don't we?"

Killua chuckled, already running besides Gon. I guess it wouldn't hurt to let loose for a bit!

The class didn't really know what to do because the hunters were smashing through every beast that appeared left and right. It was like they had all this energy stored up for weeks.

Bakugo seethed through his teeth. He couldn't just let those little twerps fight every single damn beast there was, but why were they both so fast and so strong? It didn't even look like they were using their quirks at this point, which only made Bakugo's blood boil with annoyance.

Some other students felt the same way, while the rest were thankful they could rest easy for the time being. That was until they made it to an area where there was a giant horde of beasts; probably around twenty of them were all huddled up.

Without a second thought, Bakugo took this chance, and it looked like his classmates thought the same way. But the class wasn't nearly as strong as the two hunters on their own, so they naturally had to team up for some of the larger beasts. Midoriya ran up to a beast and activated his One for All full cowling, while Todoroki froze the beast's legs. Iida and Bakugo rushed up and used their quirks to blow off its arms.

As the class continued to move through the forest, clearing it out seemed to go by a lot quicker than they had imagined because of the assistance of Killua and Gon. The hunters only needed seconds to put those beasts in their place. To say the least, the class couldn't help but watch them in awe and jealousy.

After a little less than two hours, the class finally defeated all the beasts in their path and made it out of the forest. Mandalay was quite impressed. Along with her congratulations, the pro heroes made dinner for the classes.

Gon was looking around for Midoriya, so he could sit next to him. It had been a while since they had a real conversation. The hunter wanted to ask if anything was bothering Midoriya because of the way he had been acting. It was as if he was avoiding Gon, but Gon wasn't sure what the reason for that could be.

"Gon, let's go sit over there," Killua started to walk to the corner of one of the tables, but before he could get farther, Gon pulled his arm back.

"Killua, can we sit next to Deku?"

"Huh? Why?"

"I just haven't talked to him in a while." Gon grinned, eyes already scanning around the room for the said boy.
