Meanwhile, all the way on the opposite side of the forest where Gon and the others resided, Killua and Bakugo were trapped in their own unfortunate situation.

It started back when Killua found out he had been paired up with Bakugo for the courage test. Killua was obviously not excited to supposedly be scared shitless with someone who could explode the moment you insulted him. Plus, the little chicken fight they had the other night was just another stepping stone for them to get off on the wrong foot.

During the time Killua had attended U.A., he was able to gauge the personalities of everyone in Class A pretty well. But if Killua had to choose one student who piqued his interest the most, it had to be Bakugo. Sure, the angry bird was supposedly the top student in their class, as said by Aizawa when Killua and Gon had joined. Bakugo was great at his studies, as well as using his quirk in combat. The only thing that set all of that back was his horrible personality.

Besides what was shown on the outside though, Bakugo actually had some pretty shocking traits even if he tried so hard not to let them show. Killua noticed that tough-guy act Bakugo put on everyday in classes when he pretended to not care about anything, or any of his friends that he called 'extras', when in reality, he cared a lot. That only went for a few classmates though, such as Kirishima, Kaminari, Ashido, and Sero.

Bakugo would always tutor them before class started if they begged enough, and even though Bakugo looked extremely annoyed, he gave in anyway. The same went for when his friends asked him to sit with them at lunch, hang out after school, or simply run errands with them. Bakugo never refused, contradictory to the statement Killua had gotten used to hearing: 'Fine! But if you think this makes us friends, something has got to be wrong with your eyes!'

The blonde might have not had any problems with giving in to his other classmates either, but in the hunters' case, Bakugo absolutely didn't give a shit about them. Killua and Gon had learned that pretty quickly.

So, of course, when Bakugo found out that Killua had been partnered up with him, he wasn't ecstatic at all.

"Fucking hell, you're my damn partner?" Bakugo sneered when he saw Killua groggily walking up to him.

"A 'hello' would have been nice," Killua replied sarcastically. He stopped in front of Bakugo, crossing his arms. "I'm not excited about this either, but let's just get along for now, yeah?"

Bakugo frowned. "Don't get your fucking hopes up, bleach head. The only ones 'getting along' are going to be to you and my fist! So, if you don't want to be sucker punched in your pale little face, then don't even think about coming close to me when we go into that forest, ya' hear?"

Geez. Where does he get off threatening a kid like me? Killua rolled his eyes and brought his hand up to mimic a mouth talking. "Yada, yada, blah, blah, blah." he mocked.

Bakugo's frown got even nastier as his eyebrows and nose scrunched up in such a way that Killua didn't think was possible for a human to express. Before he could throw a retort, Tiger pointed at him and Killua and shouted, "First group to go in!"

"Grr..." Bakugo clenched his teeth and his fist to hold himself back. As much as he wanted to let out his anger, he couldn't let a pro hero see him acting that way.

"Let's go, angry bird," Killua strolled past Bakugo's fuming body into the woods behind him, smirking.

Bakugo froze for a second, but once he realized that Killua had just walked past him, he couldn't help but explode. Turning fast on his heel, he stomped his way behind Killua. "Hey! Don't you dare walk in front of me!" he yelled.

"Oh?" Killua peeked behind himself and saw that Bakugo was closing the distance with those loud, large steps of his. "I thought you didn't want me close. Looks like you wanna get all up in my space though~" He sang the last word as he put his hands behind his head and kept moving forward.
