~ 20: The Truth ~

Unfortunately for Gon, he was stopped by Ragdoll before he could get any further away from his little training area. She sensed that Gon had left his training area with her search quirk and told him that the allotted time for their quirk training wasn't over yet, so he wasn't supposed to be running through the training field like he had. Gon tried to find an excuse, but he couldn't bring himself to lie to the pro hero.

The truth was that he was sure that the pink blur he saw rustling through the trees, mixed with the weird feeling that someone was using Zetsu on him, was Hisoka. Maybe if Hisoka were an actual villain known in this world, then Gon could have told the cat hero, but since he wasn't, Gon couldn't. Too many questions would arise if he told Ragdoll about seeing a dangerous man she didn't even know existed.

That's why Gon had to find Killua, so he could discuss the appearance with him. In his mind, Gon knew that Hisoka was an unpredictable foe, and sometimes an ally, but that was only a rare occurrence. The hunters disregarded the fact that Hisoka was here the last time they felt his aura before they started going to U.A. Ever since then, they never spoke about the clown man again. But now that Gon had seen him, even if it was just a little flash, they could be sure that Hisoka was indeed here with them, too.

The thing about Hisoka was that what he did was just based on his enjoyment. Reading him was difficult because you could never know what went on in that screwed up brain of his. One moment he might have decided to fight for the thrill of it, and the next, he could have decided to be an ally. Whether it would be for his benefit or not, it was hard to tell.

Worry rushed through Gon's mind as he cautiously returned to his training area after being told to do so by Ragdoll. It looked like he would have to wait until dinner time before he could speak to Killua.

Lucky for him, that would be in about another hour, so he patiently sat atop the boulder once again, trying to regain the focus he previously lost on his Ren.

Everyone finally finished their quirk training, and they were currently gathered around outside. Since the pros were nice enough to feed them food yesterday, today, they were expected to make their own. A lot of exhausted sighs spread around the class, but Ragdoll enthusiastically explained how they would make their food nonetheless.

Gon was standing next to Killua, anxiously waiting to tell him about the sighting he had of Hisoka. But with the sudden task thrown at them and the not so private area they were in, Gon had no choice but to wait it out even longer. Killua noticed how Gon's demeanor looked a little glum, so he whispered, "Gon, what's up?"

Gon turned to look at Killua, eyes and ears peeling away from the instructions Ragdoll was giving out. He furrowed his brows and whispered back, "We have to talk later. But I saw Hisoka in the forest."

"Huuuh?!"

Gon had thrown the news at Killua so suddenly, like it was something so casual to say. Killua quickly covered his own mouth as he saw the heroes and his classmates look at him because of his sudden shout. "Sorry, uh... I just saw a bug on my foot." He explained, hoping they would buy it. What the hell, Gon? You can't just say that out of nowhere!

Ragdoll gave him a curious look, but she continued to speak. "Anyway, all the ingredients have been prepared for you. You just need to work together to put together the curry! Ready? You can begin!"

Iida mumbled some thoughts to himself before he turned around to face both Class A and Class B. "Everyone, let's make the most delicious curry in the world!"

More than three quarters of the classes sighed, not every excited about the task, but they all got to work despite their tiredness.

As everyone went to talk to Iida about what jobs they should do, Killua immediately dragged Gon over behind one of the pillars of the infrastructure they were under. With his arms crossed, Killua said, "You can't just drop a bomb on me like that! What do you mean you saw Hisoka?"
