"I can't choose" I say as we are standing in front of a food trunk "I don't know if I want the hot dog or the hamburger" I say between big dilemmas.

"Baby, don't worry about it, I will just buy you both" she shrugs.

"No, I can't eat both" I say "Okay then what do you say if you get a hotdog and I get a hamburger and we share it?" she asks.

"You would really do that?" I ask her.

"Of course, come on I'm starving now too" she says before we order the food.

After we get our food we start walking down to the water, "Let's sit down before the water, the sun just started to go down" she says.

We sit down on the sand watching the sunset and eating our food.

"Here" Valentina gives me her burger "Take a bite" I give her my hotdog and she takes a bite from mine and I take a bite from hers.

"Thank you for this date Valentina, this is the best first I could have ever had, but then again you gave me all the perfect firsts" I tell her while giving her food back.

"It's not over yet, we can stay a little longer tomorrow, it's not like I have a boss at La Clara" she says, she would do that?

"No, I already kept you long enough" I tell her "You could never keep me long enough" she says giving my cheek a kiss.

"If you didn't have to go to law school what would you have done?" I ask her.

"I honestly don't know" she shrugs "All my life everything was planned out, go to private school at age 6, go to Yale by 17, get a law degree at 22 the latest" she says "When my parents found out I have photographic memory, now that was a trip" she chuckles.

"Why?" I ask "It seemed like they started hating me even more, I didn't understand anything, after that they made sure they tell me every time I'm not special and this is just inwared into my brain, which is sure true but a law degree is a law degree" she says.

"I may have photographic memory but if I didn't put in work it would mean nothing, my brother is a perfect example he is 24 and is a no one, he can blame everything I have on my memory but Hazel has a law degree I'm sure Maddie will too, he is just pathetic" she says.

"Do you have any good memories from growing up?" I ask her, she deserved a perfect childhood it's not fair she didn't get it just because of her parents.

"Yeah, it's all with my sister, we used to sneak out everywhere, every time my parents hurt me Hazel took me away, we had our secret spot, it was in the middle of a field under a tree" she starts "Me and Hazel have 4 years between us so she moved out sooner, but I went out to our spot everyday, I was reading the books that I needed to memorise there, I honestly think if not for her I wouldn't be here" she admits.

We already ate our food and the sun completely went down leaving us in the dark.

I scoot closer to her putting my head on her shoulder "I really like Hazel" I admit to her, she smiles "She would like you too" she says.

"I really don't wanna go back" I say "I know me either" she says giving a kiss to the top of my head.

"How do you feel about taking over Powers firm?" I ask her "Honestly I don't mind, it's something I have to do, I don't wanna give up teaching though" she admits.

"You shouldn't have to, it's not fair that everything is on you and the ones who put you under all this don't even appreciate you" I say.

"I know baby, but it's my normal" she says "Well it shouldn't be" I say.
