Part 67

"It's graduation day!!" Ben says jumping on his bed as he wakes me up.

I rub my eyes "Okay, now can you let me go back to sleep?" I say as I cover my eyes with a pillow.

"No way Dani, this is the end of a chapter, you can't just go back to sleep" he says stopping the jumps.

"Um yes I can, watch me" I say before I close my eyes again.

"Valentina is here" Ben says, I jump out of bed "Where? Where is she?" I ask looking around.

"Now that's how I get you to get up" he says, I go over to him and start hitting him with a pillow.

"Damn you Ben" I say hitting him harder, he grabs a pillow too and he starts hitting me too.

After minutes of this we both are laying in bed laughing.

"I will miss you Dani" he says all of a sudden, I turn over to him.

"I will miss you too Benny" I say before giving him a hug, he hugs me back.

"Okay now we really have to get ready" he says standing up from bed "Honestly a part of me can't wait to be done with this day" Ben admits, yeah I can relate.

"Yeah tell me about it" I say knowing I can't even have my photo taken with Valentina because Ben's parents don't know about us.

"Oh I'm sorry Dani, at least Ethan will come over soon, I'm sorry Valentina can't" he says.

I shrug "Yeah well that's what you get for being with your teacher" I say.

"Yeah that sucks" he says "But look at least you are valedictorian" he says, yeah that's so great.

"How is that speech going?" he asks me, I suck in a breath "As well as you can imagine, I don't even know who found this shit up, just because I have a straight A record it doesn't mean I can give a speech to the whole graduating students" I say, the system is fucked.

"I mean can't you?" he ask me, I smirk "Of course I can" I shrug.

"Valentina is rubbing down on you good" he says probably meaning my confidence "Oh that she does" I smirk thinking about the other times she rubs down good on me.

"You-" Ben starts before hitting me with another pillow, I start laughing.

"Okay really let's get ready" I say before I go into the bathroom, my clothes are already there so is my makeup, so I have everything I need.

After an hour I'm finally ready, my makeup light, my hair is in waves, my dress sticks to my body, not that it will be seen with the uniform I have to wear, but Valentina will see when she takes it off me.

I go downstairs when I see Ben and Ethan taking their pictures, they are both in a suit, they are really cute together.

"Dani" Ethan says "Get in here" he says, I smile before I go into the photo.

Martha takes numerous photos of us, before we are finally ready to go.

We drive to school, when we arrive everyone is already going in.

My phone buzzes when we get out of the car.

Valentina: Meet me on the 2nd floor bathroom.

I start smiling like an idiot, that's our place, no one goes there because the toilets are out of order so we could always meet up there when we were sneaking around, and I guess we can do it one last time.

"I'll find you Ben" I say to him before I head towards the 2nd floor bathroom.

Once I get in Valentina pushes me onto the door and kisses me "Hi" she says smiling "You are beautiful" she says before giving me a kiss on my cheek.

"You are gorgeous too" I say she has a black dress on, simple but beautiful then again it's Valentina.

"Give me your phone" she says, I give it to her without a second thought.

"I'm getting you that photo, I know you must've been upset we couldn't do one" she says before she opens my camera.

She hold the phone far from us so our outfits can be in the photo.

We do several ones, there are simple selfies but also ones where I'm kissing her cheek or where we are kissing.

Valentina gives my phone back "Thank you" I say before kissing her.

"I will be rooting for you because of your speech" she says as she opens the door.

"You first" she tells me "Always you first" she says, the same thing she said when we left the janitors closet before our first date.

I head back out to the ceremony, I find Ben and Ethan fast, we sit down just before it begins.

The principal starts saying her speech, who by the way I don't like, it's not that she slept with Valentina but I heard what she said to her 2 weeks ago, well she may leave her husband but Valentina would never leave me, especially not for her.

After that Valentina says a speech too, I guess this was what Mrs. Mathews wanted to talk about when she said graduation.

"Now I would like to ask Ms. Wilson to give her valedictorian speech" everyone starts clapping as I go up to the podium.

I thank Valentina and she winks at me, I smile before I turn towards the crowd.

I say my speech, where people both laugh and cry at, I thank the attention before sitting back down.

"That was so good Dani" Ben says, I smile "Thank you" I look up to the podium where Valentina nods and smiles at me.

They start calling names and Ben starts crying "I can't believe this is over Dani" he says, I start tearing up too "I know Benny" I say.

"You know you probably had the worst high school years anyone ever had, and you still survived it" he says "I'm really proud of you, and I'm really sorry for failing you" he says before I cut him off with a hug.

"No, don't you dare think that, you are the reason I stayed alive Ben, if not for you-" I cut myself off "I know" he whispers before he nods.

"Ben Walter" they call his name, Ben walks up before shaking the hands of the teachers, he bows before coming down.

"Danielle Wilson" I follow what he just did, I go to Valentina who shakes my hand smiling, the minute I'm gone her face is cold again, I laugh at that a little.

After everyone went up the principal says the closing speech where she basically just wishes good luck to everyone on their journey.

We throw our hats up at the count of 3 and everyone starts crying and hugging, so does me, Ben and Ethan.

Ben's parents come over, of course my father didn't show and my grandparents couldn't make it because of the distance and because of Arison firm, I didn't expect anything else though.

"Will you come back with us Dani?" Martha asks me, I shake my head "No I won't but thank you" I thank her she just nods.

I will go back with Valentina, thinking about it where is she?

"Okay guys I will head home, we'll talk soon" I say before I hug Ben and Ethan, I say my goodbyes to Ben's parents.

I go to find Valentina when I feel a hand on my wrist "Hey darling" Valentina says.

I let out a breath "Thank god it's you, you scared me" I say.

"I'm sorry" she says before giving me a kiss.

We start walking back to her car, once we she starts the car she speaks "I will stop by your house first" she says.

"We are going away for a week, baby" she says before kissing my hand.

"No we are not" I say suprsised "Oh but we are, we are leaving tomorrow" she says.

Now I can't wait for tomorrow, honestly I'm just happy to be with Valentina.
