*Valentina's POV*

"Can I come with you?" Maddie pleads "Please" she says.

I roll my eyes "Sure, but do you even know anyone from my friend group?" I ask.

She just shrugs "Sure I know some of them, like Dylan, Hayley and you" she says.

"And Amber of course" I say, she just hums, me and Amber practically grew up together, Amber is a year younger than me, not that it matters, me, Amber and Lily went to private school together.

"When are we leaving?" Maddie asks me, I look down on my Apple Watch "In 10 minutes, so you better get ready" I say, Maddie runs up to her room.

I'm already ready and waiting for tomorrow to come, Danielle looked off for the rest of the week, I wanted to talk to her but she always stormed out of class as soon as it was over, I also noticed Ben not sitting with her anymore.

Something bad must have went down between them, Danielle looks so beaten up over it, I swear to God if I find out Ben hurt her I will make sure he regrets it, Danielle is such a kind hearted girl, she never hurts anyone, why would someone hurt her? Especially her best friend.

If I had time to dwell on this I would figure it out in probably 5 minutes but we have to go now, Maddie comes downstairs dressed in a sundress with a denim jacket over here, her light brown hair cascading down her shoulder in waves, lets just say I understand the princess term, she definitely lives up to the looks of it.

"Can we go?" she asks me playfully smirking, I roll my eyes smiling as we head out from the house.

The drive over there is around 30 minutes, the party will be at Octavia's house, she planned it and she likes to go overboard.

Octavia is the symbol of party, she always organizes everything for everyone, she did Lena's birthday party too, so I'm sure she didn't even give the chance for someone else to plan her party.

"You know I wanna get my driver's license soon" Maddie says next to me, I hum "Really? During law school?" I ask her.

"You could do it" she shrugs "Yeah I'm different" I say, this came out worse than I wanted it to.

"Why? So because I don't have an IQ of 165, are you saying I can't do it?" she asks offended.

"Come on Mads you know thats not what I meant" I start "You know damn well that you Iq is almost as high as mine, and I don't even think it affects you that much" I say, I really mean that, is my life easier with a high IQ and photographic memory? Sure as hell it is, I think it's one of the reasons why I am here right now, don't get me wrong I think I could've achieved everything I wanted to without all this but definitely not by the time I'm 22.

"Yeah, well I still want to get my license, how else will I drive the ladies around?" she winks, I laugh and roll my eyes.

"Careful there princess, if the media finds out they may not think your intensions are noble" I tease her, I couldn't give a fuck what the media thinks about us.

"Yeah well they will never find out" she says confidently "You know I'm this untouchable figure in the media, they would never think I'm a player, you on the other hand, every part of you screams player" I roll my eyes.

"You are 16 Maddie, I think it's pretty clear why they are not touching your flings, you are a minor, a child might I say" I point out the obvious truth.

"No you might not say that" she says "I'm sorry Your Majesty" I joke and she starts laughing, I start smiling too. "And I'm 17 in a week" Maddie says, I hum.

We arrive at Octavia's house, her house is huge people going in and out of it, it looks like a crowd here.

"Shit, Octavia really knows how to party" Maddie says as we walk in the house, alcohol fountains everywhere, the music is blasting, people dancing, making out in the corners.
