"So what will happen with you and Valentina once we graduate? You know it's the end of the week" Ben says as we are walking out of school, our last Monday done.

"I know when we graduate Ben" I say "Also me and Valentina will be okay, she told me after I got into Harvard that we wouldn't be over just because of 3 years of law school" I explain.

"Yeah but still long distance" he says "I mean I know you guys can see each other and everything because of her jet and shit but you do know that she still has a lot of things at home so like here? Especially now when things are like they are with her father, what if she'll be too busy? What will that mean for you guys?" he asks, okay I didn't think about this.

"Okay let's not think about what if's, we still have our summer and I don't want to think about us being over before going over to her" I say.

"Okay, I'm just saying maybe you should look at things realistically " he shrugs, I look over to him confused.

"Ben what is your deal?" I ask him.

"I'm sorry nothing, it's just that I will miss you" he says, I soften the look on my face "I will miss you too, but the summer is still here" I say trying to lighten the mood.

"I know I'm sorry" he says before he hugs me, I hug him back.

"Now go see that goddess of woman of yours" he says, I smile at him before I get into my car and I drive towards Valentina's.

I have to talk to her about something anyway.

I soon arrive and get into the house, I hear yelling again, great.

"No you don't understand Valentina" I hear a woman's voice "You have to leave teaching, you have to give everything you have to this firm" the voice shouts, spanish accent can be heard in that voice.

"Like I don't already? Do you have any idea how many sacrifices I already made? Dad is still alive, you are too, I don't have to do anything like that yet" she says.

"We had an understanding-" the woman starts "Yes an understanding for when you are both gone, I don't know maybe I'm hallucinating but you seem pretty alive to me" Valentina finishes.

I step into the living room, the other woman has the same features as Valentina so I figure that she is her mother.

"You quit talking to me like that-" Her mother starts before Valentina notices me her eyes light up and she hurries over to me smiling.

"Hi darling" she says before giving me a kiss, "Hi" I smile.

"Oh my god, really you couldn't wait for your little plaything to get here after we finished this discussion?" her mother asks, great it's not like I'm right in front of her.

Fire lights Valentina's eyes as she steps in front of her mother "This discussion was over the minute it started and if you call her that again I swear to god I will step down from Powers firm and your legacy will die with you" she says her voice cold.

Her mother huffs "You wouldn't dare" she says before she steps away from Valentina and steps in front of me "Try me" Valentina says after her.

Her mother looks over me "Hm, what are you 10?" she asks me, not the worst insult she could've given me.

"Actually I'll be 19 in a week" I say, she just hums.

"I didn't know you now have to sleep with someone twice, pathetic of you" her mother says to Valentina.

"I'm not just sleeping with her" her voice is still cold.

"I honestly don't care, I will see you in the next meeting" she says before she leaves the house.
