"Mom wake up" I'm shaking my mothers cold frame "Mom please I'm begging you don't leave me" I can't see from my tears.

The paramedics pull me away "Come on, let's go sweetheart" one of the paramedics say, I can't leave her, I can't leave her.

"Mom, please I love you, please" I'm crying harder now, I can't feel my body, but I can feel my heart clenching.

I can't leave her.

I wake up sweating and with tears in my eyes, fuck a nightmare again, oh how much I hate those. My door opens and I see Valentina hurrying towards me.

"Are you okay? I heard screaming" she is wearing a silk pyjama set, it looks perfect on her.

"Yeah, yeah I'm sorry just another nightmare" I say, she gives me a reassuring smile "I'll bring you a glass of water, stay here" and just like that she is gone.

She comes back with the water, which I quickly drink, "If you need anything else don't be afraid to ask me" she stands up to leave but I grab her arm, she looks down at me "Stay" I plead "Please Valentina, stay with me"

I can see her hard in thought but then she gets into the bed beside me, I can never sleep after a nightmare, so I don't know why I bothered asking her to stay, I guess I just wanted to feel safe for a little.

I wake up to the sun shining through the curtain, what? It's morning, but I can never sleep after a nightmare, or after a beating, I've slept at Ben's numerous times after but I couldn't even sleep when I was with him.

I look up and I see my arms being wrapped around Valentinas waist, our legs interwined, my head on her chest, her heartbeat is so slow, so calm, I close my eyes again, it doesn't take long till I'm asleep again, everything about her is so warm and calm.

I wake up again, but this time, the other side of the bed is empty, I get up, and go down the stairs, actually two staircases because Valentina's bedroom and the guest rooms, at least mine was on the third floor, I don't even know what's on the second, even the staircases are modern here, see through and rocks on the bottom, leds going through next to the rail, I really have no idea how she has money for all this.

As I get down I see Valentina in the kitchen making coffee and eggs.

She looks at me, and smiles widely.

"Good morning beautiful, how are you feeling today?" I smile " Better, thank you for letting me stay here"

She takes a coffee mug and puts it in my hand "Come on, let's eat" she brings the bacon and eggs she cooked and puts it on a plate.

We eat in silence, I have a question on my mind "Since when have you been up?" I ask, she doesn't look up from her food "Around an hour or so, I don't know"

"Well thank you for making me breakfast" I thank, she just shrugs " Don't worrry about it, I would have done it for anyone" she simply says.

Well that definitely hurt, I mean of course I know I'm not special or anything but it still hurt,
"Yeah, well I will get going then" I stand up.

"Don't be like that" she says in an unbothered voice "Don't be like what, Valentina?"

She doesn't make a move "That's what I thought, thank you for letting me stay here and making me breakfast, I will see you in school Miss Powers" I grab my stuff and leave from the house, she didn't even say bye.
