The talk

Lucy walked Blake to the door. He opened the door and wanted to say goodbye but was interrupted by Tim storming down the stairs with a stick in his hand.
T- uhm Luce, what is this?!

L- Tim, I will be right with you. I'm just letting Blake out.
B- wait, uhm I would also like to know what this is? Why is your colleague at your house in the night? And why was he upstairs the whole time?
T- oh shit sorry, baby.
L- uh okay so Tim lives here.
B- okay wait I don't think I'm getting it. You live here, so is he like staying for a while till he gets a new place or something?
L- no I mean Tim and I are living together-
B- okay hold up. Why would he live with you?
L- could you please let me finish!
B- wow easy, yes finish what you wanted to say.

Tim mumbled "asshole" under his breath. He thought no one could hear him, but Lucy did.

L- okay so uhm before I left for the program Tim and I had something and well we had sex just before I left. And the night before I left we got into a fight. So I didn't tell him when I found out, I also didn't speak to him through all those years. But anyways he is the father of my kids, our kids. And ever since I'm back we've grown closer. And we are now in a relationship and living together.
B- uh buh wha okay why didn't you tell me? Did anyone knew Tim was the father?
L- well yea Angela, Nyla, Tamara and sergeant all knew. And later on I told Amelia.
B- even Amelia knew. And you didn't even tell your fiancé.
L- Ex-fiancé! And I don't know why I didn't. But I feel like everything is how it is supposed to be.

Blake had a lot of mixed feelings. He was still a bit shocked but also, furious, hurt, disappointed and betrayed. But Tim on the other hand, was very proud of how Lucy put Blake back to his place.

B- okay if this is what you want, there isn't much I can do.

With that being said, Blake left. Lucy closed the door and looked at Tim. And she quickly remembered why he stormed in.

T- I'm really sorry I stormed in that way. I kinda hoped he had left because it was pretty quiet. But I found the test and I had to confront you.
L- okay please let me talk and explain myself. So I had a feeling that maybe I would be pregnant. So today in between cases I took a personal moment and quickly got home and did the test. But after seeing the results, I wanted to talk with you first. Like have "the talk".

Lucy took a deep breath, Tim was being quiet and listened to what Lucy had to say.

L- okay so I know we aren't together for that long. And we already have two beautiful children. But I know how much I love you. And I'm so happy that I get to call you my boyfriend. After all those years of not seeing you but still having you on my mind. And having to look at Jace who looks like a spitting image of you. But I love you so much, did I already say that?
T- yes baby you did, and I love you even more!
L- okay I'm talking again, so please listen.
T- okay, continue.
L- so I hope that maybe someday I get to be your wife. But after that feeling today, for now I want nothing more than to have and carry another child of you. So uhm what do you say?
T-.....
L- you can answer now.
T- okay I didn't want to make you mad, if you weren't done yet. But I would love to have another kid with you. And I would love it even more to call you my wife.
L- okay good so we can try for a baby now or just wait a little while. I don't care as long as it is with you.
T- uhm honey, I think we don't need to try. I have literal proof in my hand that we've already tried and it succeeded.
L- what are you talking about.
T- the test I found was positive.
L- that can't be true. When I left it was negative.
T- well, this one says positive. How many tests did you take?
L- just this one. I only had this one at home, and I didn't want to be gone for too long. I was still on working hours so I took the test. Waited a few minutes.
T- okay but how many minutes do they recommend you to wait?
L- like fifteen, why?
T- did you wait fifteen minutes?
L- well no, I lost a lot of time even finding that stick. And when I took it I left after maybe almost ten minutes. I had work to do.
T- so maybe you are pregnant but it took longer for the test to notice or something.
L- holy shit. Okay uhm we need new tests and I mean more than two. I need to be sure this is true and not some error.
T-....
L- Tim! Let's facking go!
T- yes I'm coming, wait we can't leave the twins alone.
L- shit yes uhm you are right.
T- I will go and grab every test I see. And you stay here. I don't know if I can trust you being this stressed out on the road.
L- okay good plan. Uhm I'm going to drink lots of water to get me to pee.

Tim left to the store. When he arrived he immediately ran through the aisles. At first he couldn't find the right aisle. But when he did he grabbed every test he saw. He quickly checked out and drove to their house. He was speeding a bit but not to fast, he still wanted to be safe and keep to the law.

He arrived home and gave all the tests to Lucy. They ran upstairs and she peed over all the tests, and it were like 6 different tests. She laid them all on the counter. While they were waiting they both got comfy and dressed in their pjs. They were sitting on the edge of the bed together. Lucy looked very nervous, Tim was also nervous but he was just so happy that maybe he get to witness Lucy actually growing his kid. He put his arm around her and pulled her closer. He snuggled her and told her "everything is going to be okay, whatever the outcome".

The fifteen minute wait time was over. And they rushed over to look at the tests.
L- see it was just an error. I'm not pregnant.

Tim looked Lucy in the eyes and saw tears forming in her eyes. She really wanted another baby with him. And Tim could finally witness Lucy in all her pregnant glory, because he missed all that with Jace and Maya. He took another look at the tests. And that was when he noticed something.

T- okay, I think we still need to make an appointment with the doctor, to know for sure. Because I don't know if it is just me but I see a faint second line here.
L- wait where? You are probably seeing something that isn't there.
T- no really, look here.
L- omg yes, I see it too!
T- look on this test I also see a faint line.
L- okay I'm going to call the doctors office bright and early tomorrow. I need to know for sure.
