"Mercedes!" Kevin Steen (Kevin Owens) called out at the WWE live vent they were at. They were in Hershey, Pennsylvania preparing for the show tonight.

"Hey Kev! What's up?" Mercedes casually asked as she was in her ring gear ready for her own match at the live event. It was her tag teaming with Saraya (Paige) and going against Charlotte Flair and Dana Brooke.

"Have you seen Colby? A few things in our match got changed and I've been looking for him to talk to him. Don't know where he's at." Kevin informed her as Mercedes found that odd, but would be on the case.

"Is his bus here?" She asked.

"Yeah." He replied as Mercedes couldn't help but laugh and shake her head.

"If you can't find him, he's probably on his bus. But I'll go check and send him your way." She continued to laugh.

"Thanks, Mercedes. I'm going to talk to Paul or else I'd go bombard his bus and chuck him out myself." He replied.

"Yeah, yeah. Go talk to Paul and I'll send him your way." Mercedes waved off to her friend, walking to where Colby had his bus. He was one of the few Superstars who had one, so it was easy to find for her.

Mercedes found Colby's bus right at the front of the lot. She knocked on it, hearing Colby and his baby daughter inside. She quietly and calmly opened the door, seeing Colby flustered and a bit overwhelmed. She heard baby Hayley crying, knowing the two were not off to a great start.

"Colby? Hey, you guys okay?" Mercedes calmly asked as she could tell something was not right.

"I need help." He blurted out, feeling vulnerable and naked to the world, very uncharacteristic for him.

"Want me to take her?" She asked as he nodded his head. Mercedes gently took the near four month old into her arms, rubbing her back.

"This wasn't what I thought this was gonna be like. This whole week and weekend got tossed to the shitter and-"

"Colby, go get some water and take a breather. It's okay to need help. I got her." She cut him off politely, seeing that he was spilling his guts out to her. His face slightly turned red, nodding his head.

Colby got up and splashed some cold water in his face. He grabbed a bottle of water from the fridge, walking out of the bus for the moment. Mercedes continued to soothe Hayley. She saw Colby had a chart written of what time she got her bottles, making her one after finding formula, distilled water, and a clean baby bottle. She also played some white noise from her phone, feeding the baby and getting her calmed down.

"It's okay, baby girl. We all have hard days sometimes. It's okay, you're safe." Mercedes soothed baby Hayley, holding her in her arms and taking a free thumb, rubbing it over her cheek. After a few minutes, Colby came back on the bus more like himself, but felt guilty for walking out the way he did.

"What?! I swear, I owe you drinks or something." He shook his head, beside himself that Mercedes had Hayley calm, patting her back after she finished a five ounce bottle and setting it in the sink.

"No you don't, you don't need to worry about a thing. I had no problem helping and I don't have a problem helping again. Are you okay?" She asked as Hayley was practically falling asleep in her arms. The baby was exhausted after an emotional bout and now had a full belly.

"I, I don't know. This week was awful." He groaned, feeling something tug at his heart as she looked at him with concern.

"Would you like to talk about it? It's okay if you don't. I'm going to be here for you either way." She calmly said, sitting down on the couch as Colby sat across from her.

"Natalie's been treating Hayley awful and said nasty things. Basically told me to keep her and she doesn't want to see her. Ever." He sighed as Mercedes felt her heart break, knowing that feeling all too well from an experience in her childhood from her father.

"It was super last minute messages, but my mom had a business trip to do and I had to get everything together last minute, so this whole weekend and week has been a cluster fuck." He groaned, tossing the bottle of water in the trash and sitting back down with his friend and daughter.

"Colby, it's okay to have bad days or bad weeks. You're a single dad figuring this out all on your own and you're doing great. I don't know all of the ins and outs of your relationship and breakup with Natalie, but Hayley doesn't deserve that and neither do you." She raised a brow as Colby knew she was right.

"If you ever need anything, and I mean anything. Don't hesitate to ask. I have no problem helping you and Hayley, as it seems that she likes me." She snickered as the near four month old was fast asleep in her arms.

"Thank you, Mercedes. That means a lot and I really appreciate it. Now just out of curiosity, what did you mean to tell me when you first got on the bus?" He asked, making both of them laugh.

"Kevin was looking for you. Something about your match and he looked everywhere but your bus. So you may wanna go find him as that was almost an hour ago." She giggled as Colby shook his head.

"That dumbass. Alright, I'll be back. You okay to stay here with Hay? There's baby carriers too if you don't wanna feel trapped on the bus." He offered as she couldn't help but laugh more.

"We'll be fine. Go find Kevin." She gave him an assuring smile, watching him step off the bus and happy to help her friend, feeling something else tug on her heart too.
