"I can't believe Hayley turns one tomorrow." Mercedes said two weeks later as she and Colby were setting up for the one year old's birthday the following day.
Tomorrow was Hayley's first birthday. Colby wanted to do something small for his daughter, but still surrounded by the people whom loved her the most. Since they were off on Hayley's actual birthday, they were doing a small party at Mercedes and Colby's home in Davenport. They wanted to get most of everything set up tonight so they could enjoy the festivities tomorrow.
"I know. My baby girl's first year went by so quickly. But she's going to be an amazing little girl and I'm a very lucky man to be her father." Colby smiled after tying a balloon for the party tomorrow.
"You're the best father to her, babe. She's so lucky to have you and she loves you so much. I love you and know you're a great dad." She assured him, walking over to hug her boyfriend.
"Thank you baby doll. I love you too and so does Hayley." He replied, kissing her and holding her close.
"I love the both of you too! Now let's finish party prepping for the birthday girl tomorrow!" She squealed, loving to prep for Hayley's birthday party the next day.
The next day, Mercedes and Colby were up and waiting on now one year old Hayley to wake up. Even if she was only one year old, Colby and Mercedes wanted to make sure she still felt loved and special on her birthday. They were excited to see her when she was waking up in her nursery.
"Happy birthday, Hayley Jade!" They grinned as Colby picked up baby Hayley, kissing her cheeks as the one year old giggled and smiled at her daddy and his girlfriend.
"Happy birthday, sweet girl! Let's get ready to party." Mercedes grinned, kissing her cheek as they spent the day together celebrating Hayley.
