After Hell In A Cell in Boston, Mercedes came home with Colby back to Davenport. She would be out of action for the next couple weeks, but should be back in time for Survivor Series. Colby insisted that Mercedes came back home with him so he could help take care of her during her recovery.
Mercedes wasn't badly injured, thankfully. She had a bruised back and some strained muscles in her lower back which was caused from taking the fall from the cage to the announcer's desk. She mostly just had to lay low. Colby knew exactly how to help and wanted to take care of his girlfriend.
"Alright Hayley Jade, let's do some crawling time while I help Mercedes." Colby smiled as he carried his near eight month old daughter into the living room and saw Mercedes lying down on the couch.
"Hi princess, you gonna help me feel better?" Mercedes asked with a smile, kissing Hayley's cheek as the baby girl was happy to be with both her and Colby.
Colby gently sat Hayley down on her tummy time mat in the living room. He went back to the kitchen to fill up their water bottles and make Hayley a bottle. He came back into the living room, setting everything down before helping Mercedes lay on her stomach while Hayley happily played with her toys as she had her daddy and Mercedes in sight.
"You're the best." Mercedes smiled as Colby gently massaged and rubbed her back to ease some of the pain.
"I've been told." He chuckled, earning a few laughs from his girlfriend.
"Just relax, I'm here to help." He soothed her, knowing that she mostly just needed rest to be able to get back in the ring soon. She just needed to take it one day at a time and she'd be back in no time.
