                                              "Well, hi princess!" Mercedes smiled one week later, seeing Colby and Hayley at the bus Colby had bought.
After last week, Colby asked Mercedes out on a second date. He had Hayley for the next few weeks, given some issues with Natalie. However, Mercedes didn't mind. If she and Colby were going to be together, she was going to have to be okay with being around Hayley. But it never bothered Mercedes. It never had and she didn't imagine it ever would.
"You seem happy to see Mercedes, aren't you baby?" Colby chuckled, seeing six month old Hayley smile wide and happy to see her as well as being with her daddy. 
"I hope so! I'm happy to be here with the both of you." She grinned, hugging the both of them as she and Colby kissed. 
"You sure you're okay with hanging out with me and Hayley? I hope it's not too much or-"
"Colby, stop freaking out. It's fine. I have no problem hanging out with your baby girl too." She stopped him and assured him, gently taking Hayley into her arms while Colby made sure he had everything. 
"Alright, alright. Care if we take her to a park and let her swing or something? Figured she'd do good with fresh air." He shrugged as he tossed everything in a bag, throwing that over his shoulder. 
"I'm down for whatever. Lead the way, lover boy." She giggled, making him playfully roll his eyes as she carried Hayley and they made their way to the rental car. 
The three headed out for the morning as they had some downtime before the Saturday Live Event they had. Mercedes and Colby grabbed some coffee before taking Hayley to a park nearby. They were relieved that no one was really there, leaving it quiet and some private time for the three of them. 
All of Colby's worries washed away moment by moment, seeing Mercedes with Hayley. Mercedes enjoyed being around Hayley and it looked as if the six month old enjoyed being with her as well. The date went great as they let her swing and brought a blanket for her to safely do tummy time and learn how to crawl on without getting dirt and mud all over her little self. 
"How would you feel about a third date?" Colby asked as they stopped for sandwiches after the park, Hayley content in her stroller playing with some small but safe toys for entertainment. 
"Oooh, you must really like me for a third date." Mercedes snickered, taking a sip of her lemonade. 
"Of course I do. And so does a certain little lady." He chuckled, raising an eyebrow and looking at Hayley. 
"Well, you name the time and place. I'm down for whatever." She grinned, excited to see where things went with Colby.
