"Mercedes, hey, you okay?" Colby asked as he found Mercedes in the trainer's room, icing her knee after a rough spot during her match on Raw.

"Yeah, just a little banged up. The pros of the industry we are in." She attempted to crack a smile before Colby helped her prop her knee up and wrapped up the ice bag to her knee.

"Ah ah, stay off your knee. Take it from someone who has a history of shitty knees." He raised an eyebrow, making her laugh a bit while he helped her.

"Thanks, Colb. Luckily it's nothing bad, just bruised and sore. What're you doing once you get home tomorrow?" She asked while trying to change topics of the conversation, wanting to take her mind off her bruised and banged up knee.

"Gonna see my baby girl, I miss her. I know I travel with her most of the time but I hate not being with her. Just some cons of the situation, but I'd rather have Hayley to myself than deal with her mother. What about you? Anything exciting during the off days for the boss?" He teased, calling her by her in ring nickname.

"No, nothing exciting. Laying on my couch, maybe watching some anime. Pammy asked me if I wanted to hang out with her and Ferg, but I declined as I didn't wanna third wheel and be a witness to whatever activities they may choose to do later on at night." She poked fun at their best friends, making both herself and Colby laugh.

"You are not about to go home and spend the next two or three days all lonely by yourself." He cocked an eyebrow at her, catching Mercedes by surprise.

"Why not?! What's wrong with that?" She exclaimed with a smile, curious to see where Colby was headed with the conversation.

"Because a beautiful girl like you doesn't need to be alone on her off days until we all get reunited over the weekend." He continued, raising his brows at her as she blushed furiously.

"Why don't you come home with me in the morning? We can hang out with Hay, and I would love to take you on another date. I know it's been a couple weeks since our second one and I apologize. Shit's been kinda crazy, but I'd love for you to come home with me." He offered, flashing a grin as she continued to blush and smile up at him.

"Really? You would?" She asked as he nodded his head, holding her hand and placing a gentle kiss on top of it.

"I would, and I know Hayley would love to see you too. I'll deal with rebooking your flight and crap like that. Don't worry about it, but I want to take you out on a nice date. Mom's already been messaging me like crazy to get to see Hayley, so I'll take her up on her offer so I can take you out on a date." Colby admitted as Mercedes was grinning ear to ear.

"But I don't have any nice dresses or my makeup, that's all at home." She retorted before sitting up more as Colby gently took the ice bag off her knee and tossed it in the trash as it was melting and a twenty minute timer went off.

"Then take my card when we get home and go out and get whatever you need. Don't worry about price, just get what you like and what makes you feel confident." He winked, kissing her cheek as she blushed hard once again.

"Thanks, Colby. I just need to get my stuff so we can head out." She said as he gently helped her up.

"Go get what you need. I'll meet you back at the locker room in a few minutes so I can grab my stuff." He replied as she nodded her head, the two going off to their respective locker rooms to grab their things.

Mercedes went into the women's locker room, making a dart to grab all of her things and pack them quickly. A few of the girls found her being suspicious with how quickly she was packing before Pam announced that Colby was waiting for her outside of the locker room. She blushed hard, not wanting to discuss a potential relationship currently and was simply wanting to enjoy her time with Colby. Pam was happy for her best friend, hugging her before the pink haired woman left the locker room to meet up with Colby so they could leave the arena for the night.

"You're the talk of the girls locker room." Mercedes teased during their drive back to the hotel.

"Why's that?" Colby asked while keeping his eyes on the road.

"Because Pam saw you waiting for me outside the locker room and decided to make an announcement while I zipped up my suitcases." She snickered as Colby playfully rolled his eyes.

"Don't worry about it. I'll beat her ass in CrossFit this weekend." He retorted, making Mercedes laugh during the drive back to the hotel room.

Mercedes, Colby, and baby Hayley were reunited early Tuesday morning once the two flew back to Davenport, Iowa where Colby resided to be close to his family and to stay with his daughter. The three enjoyed a nice, quiet day at home as baby Hayley was very happy to be reunited with her daddy and Mercedes. Mercedes and Hayley had a unique bond, starting once Mercedes came in to help Colby when his baby daughter was only three months old.

On Wednesday, Colby enjoyed some one on one time with Hayley while Mercedes went shopping. She got herself a beautiful red dress with some heels for her date with Colby. She also quickly went to purchase all of her makeup and skincare favorites so she would be fully prepared for her date. It was a very sweet gesture and Mercedes was looking forward to her date with Colby the following night.

"Nothing better than sitting in the back of a near empty restaurant on a Thursday night." Mercedes giggled while she and Colby were at the restaurant.

He made reservations for a beautiful restaurant in town, wanting to truly take Mercedes out and make her feel like a queen. He also requested a private booth in the back so the two could have some privacy. It was safe to say the two were enjoying their night out while his mom had Hayley for their date, but the six month old baby girl was going to be coming on the road over the weekend with Colby.

"Not at all. Cheers to a third date." Colby smiled as he held his beer glass and she had a glass of wine as the two toasted.

"Cheers, thanks for planning everything Colby. And thank you for paying for my dress, makeup, and skincare. You know the way to my heart." She teased after they each took a sip of their drinks and sat the glasses down.

"Mhm, and it's a reason for you to keep it at my house." He winked as she grinned from ear to ear.

"Smooth line for a third date." She laughed as he did as well, ordering their food and enjoying their date night. Mercedes was just curious to where things would go between her and Colby.

The two enjoyed their dinner and the privacy of some alone time. For Mercedes, it was nice being in Colby's home town where they really didn't get bothered. It was a nice switch up from being in Orlando all the time and constantly getting noticed. That came with the profession they were in, but didn't mean she often wished for more privacy. She was soaking it in with Colby as the two ended up going to a local park after dinner, taking a walk and having fun together.

"How was that for a third date?" Colby asked while they walked around the park and enjoyed the sunset.

"It was perfect. I enjoyed that and getting to be with you." Mercedes grinned as he grabbed her hand and pulled him close to her.

"I enjoy getting to be with you too, Mercedes. Down for a fourth date?" He smirked as she blushed a bit, looking up at him and smiling.

"Oh, a fourth date?" She cocked an eyebrow upwards as they stopped in a private area to talk instead of dealing with others in their way.

"I'd love to take you on a fourth, fifth, sixth, hundredth date. I want you as mine, Mercedes. I want you as mine and mine only. I'm sorry I didn't ask sooner, but didn't wanna scare you off or put any pressure you may not wanna have. I know I'm a lot and I have a daughter, but you've been there for both of us when we felt alone. You've brought back the sunshine and light in my life- our lives. I'd love nothing more than to ask you, Mercedes, if you'd like to be my girlfriend?" Colby asked as she was grinning ear to ear, her face hurt with how hard she was smiling before hugging him tight.

"Is that a yes?" He chuckled, accepting the warm embrace and hugging her back.

"Yes! Of course, Colby! I'd love to be your girlfriend." She grinned before he bent down, cupped her face and lovingly kissed her.

"Good, and that means I'm your boyfriend. I'm so lucky to have you. I mean it." He whispered after their kiss, holding her tight as they both felt on top of the world to have each other officially. Nothing felt better than this.
